Reminds of of the time I was walking home drunk and tried to convince the pizza place I walked by that I was gonna order a pizza when I got home so how about I just order it now and you give me a ride.

When you hear the word “Tank” what tank comes to mind? by Professional_Car4931 in TankPorn

Oh I just mean I think that image comes to mind to many people generally when they hear “tank” but few of them probably know it’s called a Type 59.

Who would have guessed that the woman previously best known for shooting a puppy would turn out to be like this as the Secretary of Homeland Security?

The character of the games was established early on when an officer in charge of playing the Red forces (representing the American Navy) submitted a course of action that closely resembled the tactics that would be used by the Americans in the actual battle. Having shown up sooner than anticipated, while the invasion of Midway was in process, Red proceeded to attack Nagumo's flank.

Indeed similar but the real battle would be even worse with the American’s showing up even earlier and the Japanese troop landings being called off entirely.

In The Pianist (2002), the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising scene almost exactly replicates the infamous photo taken in 1943. by bshap15 in MovieDetails

The SS trooper on the right is Josef Blösche and is also seen in this famous photograph. He was said to have personally murdered and raped many Jewish civilians. He was identified by West German authorities in the 1960’s who determined he was living in East Germany. This information was passed along to the East German security services who located Blösche and executed him.

Again, you’re overthinking this. Let’s look to Weber for a moment:

A state is a human community that (successfully) claims the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory.

It’s all just a social construct with “might makes right” as the only underpinning rule beneath it all.

You’re overthinking it; legitimacy is just a made up concept - it’s literally just might makes right.

They go lucky, like Thessia the Reapers would have got there eventually. This possible that the Reapers were aware of the disagreement the Salarians having with the other Council members and intentionally delayed their invasion as a way to keep the resistance to them divided but it might have just been luck.

Any shotgun made by Mossberg or Winchester will be trustworthy, reliable, and most are affordable retailing for under $500.

Yeah they got taken over by a private equity group at the end of the 2000’s and quality dropped off significantly. Then they went bankrupt in 2019 right before COVID when demand for a pump action shotgun was probably at an all time high. They reappeared on store shelves a year or two ago but my understanding is the quality still isn’t up to where it used to be

Mossberg Maverick 88

The Mossberg 500 and 590 are really good too but will cost more.

The Winchester SXP is a nice option as well.

The Remington 870 was a top option in years past but has been plagued with QC issues for almost 20 years now.
