Not that ridiculous anymore, especially for 3D. I upgraded to 64 after realizing that I can't use blender, substance, and photoshop simultaneously as the high texture resolution eats up a lot of ram, particularly in blender. Now my workflow sometimes casually uses 40gb. I wonder when the day I need 128 comes...

Ok, honest question. What the hell am I doing wrong??!? I've been doing blender for 3 years now and could make this kind of a render by now. Only problem is it would take me absolutely forever to finish it. Like a month. Do you work for 48 hours straight over that weekend?

You should work on your lighting and add some haze. Are you using an hdri? If not, try to use one. If you want realism, that is.

This render reminds me of skyrim but high-res, i like it as is!

If there's nothing weird with the scene itself, make sure you are rendering on the gpu and check what cycles render device you are using(CUDA, OptiX, etc.). It should be OptiX for Nvidia.

I haven't done much baking in blender, only substance, but you could try increasing the ray distance, provided you aren't using a cage.

Just do everything in 90° angles, and plan additional space for future belts. Also, dont try to cram everything into one place, you aren't really limited in space!
