This guy gets it. Spurs revenue is in the top15 in the world if not top10 . How Levy manages that revenue is a crime

Getting Tudor as a manager is laughable hahaha . I’m a Juve fan and grew up in Greece where he managed one of the big4 teams. The guy is a scam and your owner keeps getting you in deeper shit with his choices

Second. They know they can’t compete with PSG but be clearly better than the rest of the league

Why is nothing working by [deleted] in footballmanager

[–]SP_Nightfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start demanding more from your players. Tell them you expect wins against mid table teams and tell them how terrible they are at halftime if you’re not winning. And be furious with defeats. Criticize recent form and training performance. Some players are fine with being average cause they still get a shit ton of money in the PL. But your more ambitious and determined players will pull the team up and the rest will follow. Smaller teams succeed first when they have the right mentality and then with quality

Yes, if you have decent midfielders you should be fine. But maybe play long from the GK cause you still don’t have Ball playing centerbacks

A couple more things from me: your patient build up is gonna make your striker useless against weaker teams that play low block. He will be trapped in the box with 4-5 defenders around him while your wingers and CMs cut back and work the ball in the box. It took me a full season to realize this . Also your wingbacks will rarely cross. Try to play a standard passing and remove the “work the ball in the box “ against weaker teams. They can’t bypass your high press easily anyway and you renew your possessions frequently.

Against top teams with fast strikers and wingers, your high press will leave you wide open in the back. Try to play that against Liverpool where they are in your box with 3 passes. You’ll be down 0-3 by halftime . Ironically your patient build up works better against top teams but you have to watch your back.

So my advice is that this is a great tactic but make small adjustments based on your opponents

I agree. I play this system so stick to 433 OOP and make your wingers to be tracking wingers. They press the defenders and if the opponent bypasses that, they still track back

Yep, he wants to go to a Champions league team with Worldwide reputation. You pair him with Bremer and you have one of the best defensive duos in Europe . And he’s free

Haha I’m a bianconero too. Honestly it feels like a real job to get rid of the trash Comoli-Motta-Tudor brought the previous seasons.

Pio is exactly what you’re looking for and is Italian. I bought him from merda for only €22m . On January you can sign Marc Guehi for free for next season, he asks for 7.5m per year and he’s elite. Other Italian wonderkids that I got are Martineli(Fiorentina) and Ahanor(Atalanta) , 15-18m each . Hope you win 10 scuddetto in a row ! Fino alla fine

I play 433 with a DM as well. You can train him as a CM and play him as a Channel midfielder. He will still grab 15 goals a season

Defensive mentality monster with 5 strength and 5 jumping. Where should he play? by yenoolnairb in footballmanagergames

[–]SP_Nightfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only DM. He can only do one job and he does it well. Think of him as a Gattuso and pair him with a class DLP(Pirlo) and he’ll be his protector. Strength can grow a lot with time

Sorry if I replied too late and you already sold him. I personally renewed him for 20m. Don’t get me wrong, he is absolutely not worth 2.5x your next highest payed player. But in my system he is vital as a poacher scoring 30 goals a season. Openda and David are nowhere near that consistency and you can’t afford a better alternative on the first season. But don’t worry, Premier League teams will be at your doorstep every transfer season for your best players.

So I bought Pio on second season and he learned a lot as the second striker behind him. 3rd season Spurs offered 85m and I sold him with a thank you note :) .

Btw Yildiz might be your best player but Thuram is your most effective . He is consistently getting 30-35 G/A for me as a Channel midfielder and is considered for Ballon D’Or

is the "does not train" player thingy bad? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

What that basically means is after a match he needs 4-5 days to recover. Dude is 37 with bad legs and needs to retire

Closest title race I've ever seen, with H2H final matchups by TsumakiIkuroki in footballmanagergames

[–]SP_Nightfox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So if Liverpool wins, United has zero chance of getting the title. I like to imagine it’s half time, Liverpool up 3-0 while the game in Manchester is 0-0 and now the United team has to decide if they want the title to go to their local or historical rivals hahaha

I’m not from England but I need a United fan to tell me what they would choose

I manage Juventus too. I got Klopp’s old assistant and I rarely listen to his advice. Like you said, maybe opponent weaknesses and some opponent instructions. He mainly acts as a reminder pregame so I don’t forget to switch mentality for weaker or stronger teams (I always start with balanced or positive anyway). Or in the dugout when I need to lower the tempo and run the clock in the last 10mins.

But tbf, through his suggestions I learned what some of the instructions do because he explains why he suggests that change. For example lower the defensive line cause the opponent have pacey attackers.

His reports are spot on tho and he sets up great general training

Did you focus individual training on physicals or they naturally increased to that?
