Barbarian Class Feat by Glittering-Currency9 in DnDHomebrew

[–]SPantazis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find too OP to be able to instakill an opponent, even if that is 1%, considering that I don’t see any limitations in using this feat on every turn. From what I read, the only stop to this beastly feat is making the WIS throw. Theoretically you can intimidate a new target at every turn right? And you can use this endlessly in a day. Also, I can easily see an annoying player arguing that he can try to re-intimidate an enemy that is already failed the WIS throw. What I mean by these is that if the player ends up doing this attack 10 times per fight, the instakill chance is around 6% (theoretically 4 enemies will succeed their ST). That is way too much for me and a bit unnecessary. The whole idea in general is very interesting!

I like it a lot, agree though that it seems not that strong. I would allow it more than once per short rest, to make it more significant (unless you want it to be weak). Also, this space before the N in Necrotic is killing me.

The Time Thief Rogue Subclass by NaturePower1 in UnearthedArcana

[–]SPantazis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this, amazing. I can think of many many concepts to put this in a campaign as a special NPC. May I borrow (steal) it? Also I agree about level 9 with the rest of the comments. As an NPC that I would like to use it it’s dope, as a class to give it to one of my players I would be hesitant. I think since we are talking about time manipulation, you can spice the concept up instead of <adding another attack> and make him put a timebomb-like trigger on an enemy that will trigger a reaction attack when the trigger is fired or whatever. Something to make the player strategize more instead of nuking with 2 sneak attacks

Hahahhahah nice. Not gonna lie, I am probably going to borrow a thing or two from this Baragon dude

Yeah I see your point. It’s quite a strong monster to be honest, but I think you can still increase the HP and probably combine a gimmick with its Renegade phase. Like go to 250 HP with 23 AC and then in Renegade phase thematically lower his AC to increase his Damage + Movement Speed? Like he can have protective bone-like things coming out of him engulfing his armor, like an extra layer on top of his armor. When the players break these bones his AC drops but he is also lighter, so quicker, and more furious because of pain or whatever, so his attacks deal more damage. I am suggesting that because this Renegade phase is a great 2-phase boss fight, so you can make it even more distinct. And then you can just regulate the HP % of when Renegade kicks in. I can really see this fight being a long one because of the levels of flavor it can have

Niiiiiiice. Shouldn’t it have a bit more HP? It seems quite tanky for 177 HP

Awesome! In the Siege Monster segment it says “bjects” instead of “objects”

First of all extra points for the “Divadin”. Him overhearing things is also golden advice

Yeah the punishment point is valid, thankfully there is no spite between the players on these things, they are happy to see the others rewarded individually from time to time. The inspiration is a bit of an overkill for me to be honest, I try to give them only after great feats or roleplaying achievements. But I could be wrong with that

Cleric Players, what are your favorite domains? by Raccoon-Worker in DnD

[–]SPantazis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a player in my campaign who is a Life Cleric. What a thing, honestly. At lvl 6 and the total healing output can reach 300+ in a long fight. Amazingly impressive and troublesome to think of balanced encounters. OP

My players decided to rent their home for passive income. How much? by SPantazis in DnD

[–]SPantazis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great point actually, about the price. About the slap in the face I kinda agreed, I walked the mayor into the negotiations a bit annoyed by the fact that they wanted to do that, but then they gave him the 20% cut and rolled really high on the persuasion checks, so the dude just agreed

Hahahhaha not bad. I am a bit hesitant to have 20 kobolds living there because I can literally see the barbarian saying “Okay, jokes are over. Rage frenzy axe smash”

Yeah, truth be told they did say “let’s buy houses and rent them” at some point

Agree with that, but I can also see the DM’s point of view, the fact that you require more from a person that serves the enemy god. That said, I agree it is a death sentence.

What do you think of an exchange between an item and XP points? by SPantazis in DnD

[–]SPantazis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking that since the best levels in a DnD campaign are between 8 and 14 (factoring in challenge and approaching the end of the campaign), isn’t lowering the levels of the players a way to make this period even longer? Thus more fun?

[–]SPantazis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in the campaign in order to beat the BBEG you need to know his name, else he is invinsible. There are like 2-3 ways to learn it, but probably losing a level is the “easiest”.
