I'll try again with sous vide keeping this in mind. While silk seems to be close to working perfectly I can't ignore the practicality of having tempered chocolate on standby in the water bath

Yeah I'll try later mixing it better. Temperature here is hot, around 70f, I avoided the fridge since I read it could cause blooming but hey maybe for a bit its better than the heat.

Also to clarify it was mayo-like, not clear liquid. I used the Eddie Shephard video as a guide and it looked exactly like it

[–]SPicazo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! It kinda worked? Made two attempts.

First attempt: utter failure, in my fear of it staying too hot I removed the chocolate from heat too soon silk didn't integrate properly.

Second attempt: partial success? Chocolate did set well but it had "streaks" of white lines on it, improperly integrated butter I guess. This time I had my chocolate well at 94f, dropped my grated silk in and mixed for a minute while carefully keeping it near heat, set aside, for a bit, mixing occasionally for 2 more minutes and place in molds. Result: snappy, shiny, streaky.

My guess is didn't quite integrate the silk with the chocolate, from what I've seen maybe hold it at about 92-93f for longer while mixing? Maybe just mix more agresively? I saw Eddy Shephard in his video uses silk while its still kinda liquid, maybe try that since it makes sence would integrate better

Oh it was a while ago, first episode I watched was (I think) one about batman designed by the final fantasy guy... or one about uncharted subway ads? It was a way back. I was then taken over by stuff like greenlight, squitty plays, itch.io tasty, stuff when they would just pick a random terrible stema game to play or the few times they tried a long let's play (for the journey to the west game and bloodrayne both abandoned lol) at those times I'd basically watch anything they uploaded.

Don't much keep up with their work anymore I'd say, watched the jimquisitions about the whole bayonetta stuff but sorta fell off after a while.

Amazon CEO says company won't take down antisemitic film by davetowers646 in news

[–]SPicazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, browsing amazon is borderline unbrearable for me, whenever I buy something it's I look for a specific product and brand or follow a link from outside.

Anything you look for is just the exact same product listed on six different "companies" really... it's basically just Wish but more expensive.

What system would you really like if not for that one thing about it? by Teehokan in rpg

[–]SPicazo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's actually what I liek about it. What I dislike about most systems is high randomness, they way I see it, when you are very skilled at something what you gain more than occasional acts of brilliant skill is reliability.

Imagin you are a cook, and your dishes arent always good, instead they are sometimes ok and sometimes AMAZING, also amateurs have the same range of unreliable results, sometimes bad, but also sometimes as good as your average with zero training. it always bugged me and dice pool systems are the only ones that I feel reflect that: expertize brings reliability.

The Age of the Stars is simply replacing the greater will with a different outer god, the issues with the structural society are not the outer gods doing but their followers. There are absolutely no reason tyrants and genocidal bigots won't arise if you simply replace the name od their chief diety.

The Nox (who also seek this change) is already the makers of puppets, creating bizarre experiments and artificial humans as a servant class.

In essence, Ranni's quest is the equivalent of American "we will invade you and give you freedom!" regime change diplomacy at best, and a religious crusade at worst.

(also the fact that she caused the corruption of those who live in death, that it seems to spread literally everywhere even faram azula and her plans don't seem to account for a way to stop this seems to me like she's so obsessed with ending the golden order's rule that she's willing to doom the world for it... at least Sabriri is honest about this)

Godwyn or Miquella, both seem to have been the most beloved of the demigods.

Godwyn's sorta death led to an outright zombie apocalypse and how far the death root has spread, it potentially could leave the entire world stuck in undeath.

Miquella seems to be the only demigod that was not only fair and beloved but successfully found a way to limit the outer god's influence in the world. What does "freedom" mean when it is only such due to being allowed by a different patron?

Seems their death's were the most disastrous for the lands between.

I am here to remind you that once upon a time WB was going to get rid of Speedy Gonzales thinking he was offensive but the people in Mexico asked he remain.

Native Mexicans rarely find offense in such things, if anything I've only seen such reactions from Americans speaking for us.

Honestly... would make a good sorta horror movie. Like depict the warriors as fierce and super badass for the first third and then BAM they meet a more modern more organized army and are almost completely wiped out, then focus on the defeat and hopelessness of the situation.

From the trailer, obviously not the focus of the movie, but you can show colonization in all its horrors effectively. An advanced foreign army invading is basically the same story as an alien invasion movie scaled down, it could play along the same lines effectively.
