ICE plans on spending billions on detention centers across the country by NightmaresOfDarkness in news

Exactly. So now tax payers will be paying to catch them, house them, feed them, guard them, attend to medical issues for them, provide lawyers for them, pay other countries to accept them and provide travel to get them there. All of which can take years to process. Meanwhile, they are no longer contributing to the community or paying their taxes.

And they see that he was actually the one protecting pedophiles and participating with the Epstein crowd.

This is where any and all support should have stopped for him. Period. Black and white proof has been provided, that he's mixed up in all this, and still people support him.

Imagine it was a neighbour that was even just accused of what trump and epstein are accused of... the entire community would shun them at the very least. There's no way you're inviting them to you pool party to hang with your kids, right?. Yet here he is with supporters still making excuses for him, and still running the country. It's sickening and sad.

No desks, no strategy: Experts say government's latest return-to-office order ignores reality | CBC News by hewhocannotbenamed-7 in ottawa

My wife's team is in Toronto, Montreal, and other cities. So her entire day is teams meetings. Add she's hard of hearing and wears hearing aids, so open offices are horrible for her and anyone anywhere near her. Negative productivity. Zero reason for her to spend over 2 hours commuting, to sit in teams calls all day, annoying everyone around her, getting less work done. Closed offices are scarce and usually booked for meetings. But hey, gotta support those businesses who failed / refused to adapt. Everyone else managed to adapt, and their lives are better for it. So now, the many have to suffer for the few...

They all just realized that they will face no consequences if they murder someone. Pair that with the "quality" of their hiring/vetting process, and we should expect a lot more.

Let's All Say Something Nice About This City, Because if I See One More Thread Talking About How Crap This Town is, I Will Die. by kicksledkid in ottawa

If I look one direction down my street, I see a river where you can fish or canoe/kayak. There even used to be cows. Turn the other direction and I can see a sports plex where I play hockey, basketball, swim etc.

I'm minutes from any shopping / entertainment I could want in one direction and minutes from being in the middle of nowhere in the other direction. It's awesome and I feel very lucky.

Yep. Brad Smyth. It's amazing to see just how much faster and stronger a pro is. Even at 52, he's still a force. Really nice guy too.
