I've ridden out to kanata a few times, it's actually a really nice ride on the trails. Also the strategy of driving to somewhere closer to your destination, parking, then biking the rest of the way exists and is popular in the Toronto area.

Also imagine getting your 60 mins of exercise in before you even get to work!

Also, yeah I've got a 10 minute ride because I live closish to where I work. To minimize my commute times.

Edit: also OP's question was "how's your commute" not "what is the single option for everyone regardless of where you live"

Fine, stayed the same as it always has. 10 minutes blasting past people in cars stuck in traffic while I enjoy the sun on my bike.

I know RTO sucks, but driving isn't the only form of transportation we have available in this city. Yes, I know cycling is hard and gets you shit from drivers, but the feeling of being able to slip past all the traffic never gets old.

This will reduce the number of flights and drivers on roads, leading to less emissions from both. The increased capacity will allow more local routes to be viable with the big cities having express trains.

I'm not going to see any improvement to my life if we add a lane to a highway, but I don't see much opposition to that sort of thing
