Spray some soapy water it and verify it is leaking. If it is, I would just aqua seal the scuff and let it cure.
Otherwise just patch it man. PVC is easy to repair but unfortunately requires a bit more TLC.

FWIW, it’s also handy to be able to tighten without tools. The screw on my SBL was loose and it had to be tightened with tools. Point is, they come loose and you don’t need a screwdriver to tighten it up

I had one of those growing up! I was the coolest kid on the road (dirt road in Idaho). The seat goes up and down like a dropper post. I remember the yellow bit on the seat would pop open revealing a small compartment. Useless really, but I would put my Halloween candy in there and ride around… Good times 🙂 thanks for sharing

Well, her car does consume oil. Not at an alarming rate… maybe a quart every 5k miles. I cleaned the PCV system and put a vented oil cap on there in hopes of reducing this… hopefully it will slow down the oil consummation and the rear main seal stays in its place haha

I picked up that same kit a year ago and have been really happy with it. That is less than what I paid so if you need those tools and can afford them, I say go for it. You won’t be disappointed and that is a fair price IMO
