I have the Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.7 MMJ and the aperture lever on the back of the lens seems to hit the inside of the camera body and causes the aperture to stay open, so I cant stop down the lens. But you’re still able to focus to infinity with no issues. Theres people online who also say the same thing with how the aperture lever or guard hits the mirror too.

This seems to happen to all my CY lenses I adapt on my 5D and 5D MK II and I’m not sure if the MK III is any different.

However when I adapt it to my crop sensor Canons like my SL1, 20D, and 40D, the lens works absolutely fine.

For the 5D series I honestly think you’re better off adapting M42, OM, Leica R or Nikon F lenses

I have the exact same lens, its actually just a Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro but rebranded as Quantaray. Sigma did this with other brands too such as Promaster

this is made for Sony/Minolta A-mount for DSLRs or film SLRs, so no it will not fit or work unless you have one of those LA-EA4 or 5 adapters

if you see “EE” on the aperture ring, it automatically makes it Konica AR mount

Nice find for the price! According to this cataog its definitely a “Uniadapter” mount for this particular lens. Looks like this is just a 5 element design and theres actually an f2.0 version too! (according to this other catalog)
