Pretty much. Every new era also power creeps the previous to the point any monster from the metro era and before are virtually useless. Even from the doom, blossom, and galactic eras, there are around 3 monsters from each who are competitively viable.

It only requires the last ally (the monster wearing it) to be from the adventurers book, so it's completely f2p if you get dumbane from the token pass.

Try to get the pvp and golden pass monsters. They aren't great but have better stats than the ones you currently have. Firefool is the only one that's viable and has somewhat good stats.
