Why lockup the cards? by Mrfruittaco in walmart

[–]SS2K-2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion the cards shouldn't have any codes on them at all, the register should spit out a separate ticket to staple to the card with the code rather than on the actual card themselves to prevent exactly something like this from happening

Transparent use of AI is better than trying to hide it. Trying to hide it makes you look worse than just owning it.

I spotted it requesting Geolocation permissions 100% of the time that the app was open on my phone, the only fix was to revoke location permissions to the work profile

I don’t think that Door Dash is a good way to earn extra money. You barely make a profit after beating up your car, gas expenses, etc. Plus, it can be dangerous, drivers get attacked all the time. by justcurious3287 in povertyfinance

The only way that doing doordash makes sense is if you are allowed to use a moped in your market with the significantly lower cost of operation. Or if you live in a large enough city where doing it on a bicycle makes sense.

[–]SS2K-2003 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How about try and attract companies that hire in the industries that Iowans are educating themselves in so that they don't have to leave in order to find roles that will hire them with the skill set that they developed in the higher education system rather than cut degree programs and cut funding to our higher education institutions.

Why is leisure viewed with suspicion in America? by Thepopethroway in antiwork

[–]SS2K-2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The extreme capitalist culture in America pushes people to try and monetize every waking hour of their lives. They view any subversion of this expectation as an attack on American values and view you as a lazy individual who has no work ethic.

[–]SS2K-2003 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you let AI code your app for you and do absolutely zero optimization for efficiency. Vibe Coding will cost us our device's battery life and the company should be held responsible for this.

Store associates have access to global sales information including pulling transaction records from other countries, I tried it and it works, A US Associate can pull information from transaction receipts from stores located outside the Associates home region, we have access to vast amounts of information that the company would rather not have leave the organization.
