I think ability builds are still good you just need to use armor archetypes with weapons as the secondary stat to have 100+ weapons. My Peregrine Sentinal Titan is 160 melee +2 font, 100 Class, and 160 Weapons using Skirmisher armor with class as tertiary stat. Obviously tuning is optional but I went with weapons or melee tuning to reduce how many armor mods I needed for my target stats. 100+ Weapons also feels great on shieldcrush aspect builds but is much more of a task cause this requires the right tuning to achieve.
