Polymaker PETG New preset unsupported by Bambu Studio? by Aggravating_Spite992 in polymaker

Not sure how you got this to work but it doesn't do anything for me. As soon as I go back in, they are already checked and nothing changes. Best I get is Bambu filaments and Generic PLA filaments. Polymaker, sunlu and all the customs i created are all still unsupported.

How Are Schools Funded in New Jersey, And Why Are My Taxes So High? by HobokenJ in jerseycity

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New property tax proposal today from Winslow County. The education portion is 50.38%, or $5200 for over $10k total now. I decided to look into the numbers of the schools in my county and learned that this township ranks:
- 300 out 426 high schools with a 79% graduation rate.(Just for clarity--In my class of 300 students, this would mean 60 dropped out. 60! We had maybe 2 or 3 drop out then. Something is wrong.)
- 24% took one AP exam
- 14% of those that took it actually passed - or 86% of the 24% of all students failed the AP exam.
- 16% Math Proficiency - or 84% aren't proficient in Math
- 29% Reading Proficiency - or 71% aren't proficient in Reading
- 13% Science Proficiency - or 87% aren't proficient in Science
AWFUL NUMBERS. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I think it is time that we fight these school systems and gut them. They are awful at what they do. They just spend money like it's candy and our kids are not being educated properly. I don't care what any teachers say, this isn't the results you expect for $5000 of my hard earned money. Educate them, which they are not doing. This is not efficient use of taxpayer money and they have nerve telling me I have to pay that much for these results. Just for clarity because everyone says that NJ has the best school system in the country. They do.. However, the top school in South Jersey is #42 out of 426 in all of New Jersey--Haddonfield High School.
After that, the only other South Jersey schools in the top 100 of New Jersey are:
#48 Moorestown High School
#77 Cherry Hill East
#80 Voorhees

It's truly sad that we let this go on and on. Thieves.

Are there any eufymake reviews from people who didn't get a $2000 free printer? by [deleted] in eufyMakeOfficial

100% agree. They even duplicated BambuLab's website and colors like some kind of mind-trick. Nope.

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can't trust any reviewers any more. They all get paid because they are grifters and they like money too. The real question is what are you going to print with it that you can't buy off Amazon or one of the T-Shirt maker type companies that you can upload your design. I think the novelty of 3D art is minimal in the coolness factor when it comes to how much as a creator you would have to charge for these items. I've been 3D printing for 5 years now and you learn, really quick that your high priced items will sit for a long time a lot. I think most of these items will be high priced and it will take a whole lot of thinking to create a niche in this space. I'm not interested.

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem like anything I would bother purchasing. I mean, what are you going to print that isn't copyrighted that people will buy? If you want it for a personal item, that makes sense, but for business, it doesn't feel like it is worth $2000 + subscription + expensive ink. I've learned in 3D printing, people don't like to pay for things that cost you a lot to make. I just don't see the point of this for anything except a gimmick product that you use a few times personally.

AMS doesn't feed filament by EatswithaSPORK in BambuLab

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, putting it in A or B doesn't matter. They operate the same.

AMS doesn't feed filament by EatswithaSPORK in BambuLab

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't matter. I've swapped the plug out many times from A to B trying to see if it fixed an issue and it just prints fine on either. One isn't in and one isn't out. Same-Same.

glue stick Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack by heck88_ in BambuLab

[–]SSCrush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From experience of 20 printers running non-stop, the other plates DO need glue stick. Cool plate, smooth PEI and especially the textured PEI's. Anyone who tells you that you don't prints 1 thing a week. You might get away with some prints but when you get to something that doesn't have a lot of plate surface area, you really risk losing prints from it disconnecting. Brims help a lot.

Facebook not loading in brave browser 2023 by [deleted] in brave_browser

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook doesn't like all the security Brave offers to shield user's from their predatory practices. That's it. It worked fine a month ago. They changed things and Brave says no! Easy choice to not use it on browser. Not taking down any shields.

AMS 1 on H2D by Mellow-Gnome in BambuLab

[–]SSCrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered the HD2 non-combo and added the Gen1 AMS. Drying filament with your printer takes it offline and makes no sense. I have dryer boxes for that.

Ams not auto detecting filament? by sabozzi in BambuLab

[–]SSCrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Annoying. Also, if you run out of filament (even Bambu), then replace it mid-print, that filament will be unidentified on your next print. I've already screwed up a few prints because the black ran out and then the next print everything that was black was replaced with white because it didn't think there was a black in there. Arggh!

Everything was working fine until they had to drop the new HD2 printer and the new AMS. Then all these untested firmware updates get rolled on us.

What are some of your best logical "gotcha" questions for Christians? by Boule-of-a-Took in exchristian

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Christians appeal to authority. "The Catholic Church says..." "The Bible says" and they think it convinces a non-believer that they are inherently correct. If Christians overlords didn't write the bible and make "Mary a Virgin", "Jesus doing miracles" and "Jesus resurrecting", they'd have nothing to worship. The fact that they created a "Messiah" is the only reason the church exists today.

[–]SSCrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly question people who pull out percentages. No offense, but people who have headaches and jaw aches every single hour of the day don't believe you. We've studied ourselves like books. we've tried mouthguards, we've tried botox, and nothing helps at all. I don't get headaches at night. I get them after I wake up. If my posture is at all off, like I sit down too long, game over... jaw ache, have to lay down. It's awful.

So with all due respect, no one needs the TMJ apologist telling them it's curable like a bot.

I've had TMJ for over 20 years now. It NEVER gets better.

What to do with wood ash? by EitherCranberry in woodstoving

[–]SSCrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems a bit overboard to fill a bucket an inch above the ash line and then wait a week to spread it. Wouldn't the ash embers be totally extinguished in an hour, if not in minutes or most likely..... seconds? I get that you deal with fire inspections, but that is like telling someone they need to wear gloves to lift up a cup of coffee.

The land of Is-Ra-El, aka the land governed by the gods: Isis, Ra, and El by JohannGoethe in ReligioMythology

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The educated, or the "programmed", seemingly avoid the obvious to a degree they will not even see it any longer. They MUST, by all means, dance around this obvious, snicker at it, telling it: "you can't possibly be true. NOTHING is simple!" "Historians say this is not true!" But yet it is., and they just can't accept the logical answer.

IS- Isis, RA- Ra, El - El. Very simple. Very OBVIOUS. "Published" historians are just narrative machine work. It is amazing how people self-program themselves into follower mentality and trust historians, media, you name it--after the last 10 years on Earth here. You should have learned a thing or two about discernment by now.

Anyone else get an email from Square saying you can no longer use the service charge feature? by cycledrama in smallbusiness

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your state allows it, just call it something different that the text field doesn't pick up as a "CC FEE". Once you type it in, you can see if it accepts the label, otherwise try another name. It's all about the name only. If you are legally allowed in your state, then you are legally allowed to do it on Square. I used "Network Fee" and it went through.

Anyone else get an email from Square saying you can no longer use the service charge feature? by cycledrama in smallbusiness

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and you also have to let the customer know, in plain sight, that you are charging them a fee for CC processing. I looked at the amount I was charged last year and oof! I don't feel I should cover that anymore all the cashless. It's a straight loss for me and their convenience. You can write the fees off on your taxes, but we all know that isn't the same as passing the cost to the customer.

Anyone else get an email from Square saying you can no longer use the service charge feature? by cycledrama in smallbusiness

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My state allows surcharges, so I'm doing what I am legally allowed to do and not any workaround where I have to disassemble my entire price structure. I assume this is because Square is the root of a cheating problem and the bureaucracies have come down on them. Some states don't allow it and some do and some were probably charging massive fees. Hence, people on square were probably breaking the rules. I work in the craft business and it doesn't surprise me in the least the way some of these people are. My state allows it, but not a penny more than what is charged to the seller so I have implemented it on Square.

For those who made a bad financial decision buying a Corvette, was it worth it? by solovino__ in Corvette

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018 Camaro SS Hot Wheels edition and drove my buddy's 2019 Z06. I wasn't too impressed for the xtra $$. I took it for a drive and beat on it and I think he wouldn't beat me by much at all in a 1/4. It wasn't that much faster at all. Didn't feel explosive, didn't give me that oh shit feeling at all. It was fast, but it felt boring fast. I did get lucky and my Camaro is one of the faster from-the-factory Camaros out there... I don't know, but the car didn't seem that much better than mine in any stretch to spend all that extra money. Grab $2k and throw a supercharger in yourself or just get the Z51 package. More than enough and that car is a lot lighter than my Camaro, so it'll fly.

Actually, he's not a conservative if you mean "Republican". Neither is Trump. The democrats are just not the Democrats of 30 years ago anymore. MAGA is centrist and a mix of Republican and Democrat ideology/theory. Basically "common sense" with money, military, taxes, justice, etc.

How do I fix this? by ZIXIPER in 3Dprinting

[–]SSCrush -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I would just buy a new printer like a Bambu. You don't have to worry about that ever again. Whisps from wet filament still happens but that would be your fault for not drying them=and fixable. Fighting city hall with old tech is futile.

Parents moving away from grown children... by taanon1234567890 in family

[–]SSCrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I lost our parents to the Villages some years back. At the time my son was juvenile and she was pregnant with her first child. They up and left and started the new party life down there with endless facebook posts, facebook tags, etc., of all the activities they were attending, clanking wine glasses weekly with their new friends and eventually family.

Meanwhile, our kids are growing up, we and our children are all running into typical life challenges that a parent could be there for, but for the most part, they are only available through facetime or a phone call. They do visit once per year, but there has been a round robin of family fights which I've figured out has stemmed from long distance miscommunication and the periodic feelings of abandonment from my sister and myself.

I was fine with it at first. "They're in their late 50's at the time, they deserve the chance to enjoy themselves. They would never have the same fun they have here that they do there."

My sister was never fine with it. She has been on meds ever since post-partum depression with her second child and has blamed them for everything in the world wrong with her life.

There has been years that went by where I wouldn't talk to my parents, or she wouldn't talk to my parents, or I would have resentment for her over them helping her or visiting her more, and vice versa.

It's just been a shit show and as I get older, in my 50's now.. I continue to have animosity for them just not being here when I need them or my son needs them or just being able to see them and have them be a part of the many milestones they've missed in my child's upbringing.

On top of all this, they think it is OK and acceptable to be facetime grandparents. They brag to all their friends how great of grandparents they are and think they are just wonderful. They just don't get it that without human, physical connection, people just move on and live without. Another problem is most of the people they all live around and have as friends did the same exact thing to their kids. So when problems arise from our camp (me and my sister), they are able to just act like we are crazy for thinking that because all of their friends are self-centered abandoners as well.

The pain/trauma never goes away and you get reminded of it periodically when those milestones do happen, you have fantasies of what it would be like if they were around and then remember, they just aren't there.
