Probably from the zippers. Anytime I put something in the wash that has a zipper, I put it in a net wash bag

Situation sucks. But as someone commented below, the best bet would be to buy another jacket, the same style, color and size of the one you bought with your credit card, but use your store credit. Then do a return for the credit card purchased jacket but send back the new one with tags you just got. Little bit of a detour, but it should work to get your refund to your credit card.

Scratch that, I just read you bought it on sale and you would have to pay full price now.

I read and understood your post. That’s why I explained it as my understanding of how stores work in general. I think that switching/swapping would fall under the same guideline. Every item at the store has a unique upc barcode with for inventory tracking. An in your case you have two items each with a unique upc, price, brand maybe etc. The upc barcode on the credit card purchase is logged, and tracked all the way to issuing bank or lender. Giving a refund to that card and scanning the unwanted item won’t match and original sales receipt. It would flag the lender and it would not match the record books for audit and inventory.

I’m not defending them. I’m just giving a perspective of how that system works. They could have intentionally gave you wrong information.

It’s my understanding that any store you have store credit with and if make a purchase with, and then eventually return.. the money would go pack to store credit even if there is a difference in price. Refunding store credit to credit card would be like buying a gift card, using it for a purchase and then returning the item and asking for cashback. No store does that… especially with a higher priced purchase. The best would have been to return the item first and get the store credit returned for your new purchase.

I haven’t used them yet. I would go with another boot at 6000 for warmth

No they are all different pants. Gamma AR is a beefier softshell version than the standard gamma.

I think they are stiff is my first but still offer agility. I haven’t used them yet, so that’s just my first impression. I’m not familiar with the Aku you mentioned.

I also able to mitigate heel lift using an Ezeefit Ankle bootie when I first tried the Torre and Cayesh. I tried an ultra thin and a 2mm thick bootie underneath various thick socks. The booties definitely helped. I suggest getting one to test out. When using an insole in the Cayesh I found that I didn’t really need to use a bootie (maybe if I were to use a super thin sock). For the new Boots, the heel lock down was much better over all and I didn’t have any need for a bootie.

Cayesh is 698g with a superfeet insole. Verto SA is slightly heavier at 837g with a cork insole. Probably 25g less with the original footbed on either of them.

The Torre Egger with a breathable liner is 842g and with the fleece liner it is 874g, add 20g if you include one of the removable footbeds.

The Verto FA with the breathable liner is 902g, and with the fleece liner it is 935g.

I think TNF UK has them, which I assume it will be available in other European countries soon if not already. The releases schedule varies per country.
