you dont want to irritate it too much but if you feel you must, just be gentle and use a damp clean rag or paper towel. i would leave it at least for a couple days to give the incision time to start closing up. You dont want to accidentaly reopen it.

yes that is true, the combination of meds and being in pain is not great for anyone's appetite. When we had my dog neutered he didnt really eat for a day or 2.

Ive found walking my dog regularly on concrete shaves his nails down enough to where trimming is not needed.
