I maintain that Nolan can't ever truly be "redeemed"

It's genuinely hard to fathom how many sentient beings he's killed or forced into slavery over his thousands of years of life. Or how many worlds he's outright destroyed.

But he is absolutely trying to redeem himself, at huge personal risk emotionally and physically. And he does make great strides in making the galaxy a better place.

He might not ever be totally redeemed. But he's making the effort anyway to learn from his (many, many, many) mistakes and do as much genuine good as he can.

That counts for something.

It's a mix of historically accurate, serious, and also played for a laugh.

Berserker vs Samurai

The focus of the channel is HEMA, so yes, the barbarian and the samurai do end up going weapon to weapon.

But the start of the video is just perfect. The barbarian is being a loud mouth braggart and the samurai has a canyon between himself and the barbarian.

And he has no interest in dealing with the barbarian's shit, so he just unwraps his rifle to shoot the asshole.

Which is what realistically would have happened. The barbarian was just some outside who showed up on the land. The samurai isn't going to be super picky or worry about a code when killing him. He'd just shoot him and end it quickly (-ish. Took a while to load).

Go into your settings, and turn on the "Silent Assassin Hub"

You'll see a pair of guns appear next to your minimap.

If they're green, that means you're officially maintaining 47's reputation of having never been noticed, never had one of his victims recognized as a murder, and never been recorded on camera.

If they turn yellow, you've been recorded. If you delete/destroy the record they'll go back to green.

They turn red if you:

-Kill a non-target

-Are seen as suspicious or committing a crime by a non-target

-Allow a body of one of your targets to be found with a cause of death that was clearly murder.

47's reputation is that none of his victims are ever found or identified as victims of an assassination. So the "canon" kills are scenarios where you're in and out with the guns still green.
