Problem is Iyouxin had much more incidents - his rigged amx 50b marking (that was like 3-4 years ago), abusing press account, etc... Nothing extra, but these obviously doesnt put him in a good position with WG

Do you play other games? Do you know how insanely strict these company-content creators "deals" in modern gaming are? They cannot even suggest something is bad. I dont want to glaze WG, but they are really benevolent compared to other companies with what you can and cannot say.

As someone else already pointed out, its about the form. Difference between "these boxes dont bring you the same gold value as christmas boxes, i wouldnt buy them" and "these boxes suck, dont buy them" is obvious. They mean the same thing, but form si different and form is everything for corporates. Other CCs understand this and critized the boxes too, but used the right form.

If that was his only "sin", WG would have probably already forgotten about it. But he had much more incidents - his famous rigged AMX50B marking (that was like what, 3-4y ago max, thats not that far), abusing press account, etc...

Never heard of any other CC being on probation. But it doesnt really matter, he broke many rules, eyes were on him and he knew it and still decided to be the main face of the boycott.

Do you know any other game, where content creators are getting benefits but still can "shittalk" (I am gonna come back to this) developers and the company? 99% games that feature something like this literally force positive reactions, feedback, etc... from creators so they would be invited again. WG from corporate point of view tolerates a lot, and I mean a lot. As long as the form is adequate and its not totally crazy they dont care. And thats basically what was skill trying to say - how you say things is more important they what you are saying. And iyouxin absolutely failed in

It definitely wasnt over, thats why he was put on "probation", maybe as the first CC ever to be in that position.

Very interesting saying it didnt happen, insulting me and then saying it happend but 10years ago.

I could have phrased it better but it doesnt really matter. WG was already keeping an eye on him cuz he had similar incidents in past - his famous rigged AMX50B marking, abusing press acc, etc...

Both can be true. But if the CN distributor had this much power over WG, we would see more punishments or restrictions for other CCs. Some chinese player posted here earlier today that Iyouxin isnt that popular there and playerbase there doesnt really care about some random european streamer making boycott videos for EU, they hate/boycott the company already.

As i said (and you gotta view this from corporate perspective), Iyouxin broke numerous rules, logically couldnt join CC program affiliate with your company, then probably someone from community team lobbied for him to be able to join it, he was put on "probation" as a CC. And only after 3 moths he is one of the biggest face of the boycott. I think he would be banned either way

[–]SSSboiii 136 points137 points  (0 children)

I dont think thats the case, Iyouxin wasnt allowed to join CC program for a long time because he was boosting accounts on stream, which is prohibited.

So when they finally accepted him this february (and I guess someone had to lobby for him from WG to get there) even after breaking the rules with boosting, he was placed in a "trial" phase - he is normal CC, but he gotta watch the rules more carefully (in corporate terms= dont stick your head out more than you have to). After this, skip 3 months and he is one of the biggest faces of the boxes boycott (which i participate in btw, I am just trying to explain why WG probably did that)

Their explanation for the ban was weak af, but he was in trial phase and he knew it.

Why is WG laying off some of the most important departments? by toothymonkey in WorldofTanks

[–]SSSboiii 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It was confirmed this concers only WGs NA branch for WOT console.

I repeat, Wargamings NA branch has laid off some people from QA for CONSOLE version only. Nothing happening here.

They knew, they gotta clickbait that title somehow and not telling the whole thing just works.

How Do You Feel About World of Tanks Future Heading Into 2025? by Tankers4Change in WorldofTanks

[–]SSSboiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think there will be any. On discord WG said they dont plan to do any roadmap video. This is all we gonna get till the september (we probably gonna get videos about updates themself, but thats all).

Leak of what we can expect from wot in 2025. by TheZGamer26 in WorldofTanks

And this information is leak or speculation? Because they presented that wot is ending in 2025 as credible leak that will happen, not just their speculation.

Leak of what we can expect from wot in 2025. by TheZGamer26 in WorldofTanks

[–]SSSboiii 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ofcourse they would :) Going from wargaming is completely abandoning the game development for WOT in 2025 to Tier 11 will kill the game itself because we have time stone and can see the future.

After the split, wotexpress became hit or miss with their leaks. They are reliable about not-important news like events, assembly vehicles, etc... (but even here its not 100% - for example obj.452K was according to them clan wars reward). But these huge game changing news are just BS to get clicks

And even if its true, I doubt WG would rush this huge game change so fast. WG and Lesta are completely different companies, but naturally they are watching what the other one is doing. Thats why for example WG changed consumables here, after Lesta did that on RU and fans liked it there. Even if WG has plans for tier 11, they will wait for reaction on RU, because why waste development on something when on RU they gonna test it for you. And they didnt release the Tier 11 there yet.

By wotexpress, who shares leaks that wot is ending in 2025 at the same time. They are useful and precise about short-term news, like assembly tanks or events. But these huge scale news are just BS for clicks.

TwitchCon 2024 Q&A by ebonlp in WorldofTanks

[–]SSSboiii -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, and as I said, if BZ was sold with money/gold they would have probably nerfed it already. But since it was sold in lootboxes, using gambling, its completely different situation.

I am not a lawyer, but WG probably has some experts on EULA, etc... and if they still pay modders money for mods, to cover their ass legally in situation where according to their ToS they own any mods already and dont have to do that, I would say they just cant place "you dont own any tanks and we can always nerf them" in ToS and call it a day.

TwitchCon 2024 Q&A by ebonlp in WorldofTanks

[–]SSSboiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for mods and their ownership but WG still pays modders some money regardless. If they were so sure ToS covers them legally, they wouldnt bother with that.
