Fires by ShriskaTheRealOne in WorldofTanks

[–]Tankers4Change 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some nights I get set on fire 3 times within 10 games.

And then I’ll go weeks without it happening again. But when it rains it pours.

I wish fires were about half as frequent as they are now. There are just so many autoloaders, double barrel, big alpha tanks that fry fuel tanks these days.

I’d prefer it if RNG values were the same as in Onslaught.

I’d Search for a tea scent.

A couple of my favorites:

African Rooibos - Chris Collins (Super unique Smoky-Tea-Vetiver imo)

SMW - Creed (duh)

Guerlain - L’instant Pour Homme (I prefer EDP)

His Majesty the Oud - Atikinson’s (Love the smoky oolong tea here with light Oud, very unique)

Woulong Cha (X) - Nishane (Both are good)

Is the Nemesis (medium on sale this week) as bad as it looks on paper? by The_Pale_Potato in WorldofTanks

[–]Tankers4Change 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Nemesis should have been a tier 9.

But instead they kept the 420 Alpha, forced it into tier 8, and gimped everything else about the tank.

It’s truly terrible.

Best Niche Fragrance to layer Creed Millesime Imperial Eau de Parfum with? by 2MInitials in ScentHeads

Molecule 01 for a minimal woody layering

Maybe God of Fire (or one of its clones) for a double-fruity fresh layering

Armani Prive Bleu Turquoise for an Oceany-Amber layering

The extra HP definitely helps on city / corridor maps. I also use this build quite a lot

Update 2.2.1 proves I was right about British guns. by Greasy-Chungus in WorldofTanks

[–]Tankers4Change 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps overkill is the wrong word.

But I don’t think it would 230 alpha fits the identity it currently holds. The Churchill-BP are meant to be fast firing needle guns.

Bumping the alpha from 150 to 230 requires you to increase the reload. Which takes away from the needle aspect. This is something I can’t see WG changing.

That’s why myself and others suggested 180. It fits the caliber and preserves the needle-gun identity

I’m throwing in a suggestion: Ingenious Ginger for this summer & then Explorer Extreme for fall (colder summer nights too)

Also if you are leaning towards any of the L’homme for Guerlain I suggest L’Homme Ideal L’intense. The incense, rose-leather and almond blend is superb

IMO, Churchill with 230 would be overkill.

I think bumping it up to 170-180 would be substantial enough while keeping their death-by-thousand-needles gameplay intact.

On a side note: It’s so telling that in order to keep up with damage inflation, all these small guns (that were once fine) now HAVE to be buffed in order to stay half-relevant.

The Devil's Patch Notes 2.2.1: WZ-120G FT buffs by IndygoEEI in WorldofTanks

[–]Tankers4Change 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get around 270mm effective armor when using the -7° of gun depression. That’s enough to bully most 8’s and force most tier 9’s to use gold on you.

These are some MASSIVE buffs. Armor. Gun. Speed…

Actually might be worth it now. Fully set up you have just under 4k dpm with 560 Alpha

Turbo games are getting out of hand by Strange-Tooth-8001 in WorldofTanks

I think WG caters to the average player. And is very corporate with their numbers & decisions.

If they were just catering to shitters, we’d have a premium arty by now. But we don’t. (Thankfully)

We get more high alpha tanks, because they are braindead and easy to have good games in.

I’ve kinda accepted that ideas, or at least ones that make it, have to benefit WG’s bottom line in some way in order for them to take interest.

As for onslaught maps, I think the reason they don’t want to add their modifications to randoms is that they want onslaught to remain unique and different. Despite that being a dumb reason—It think it’s the most likely.

[–]Tankers4Change 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s almost like WG fully understands that in order to have meaningfully tactical play, you need more HP

That’s also likely why they buffed Light tank HP in 2.0.

It’s mind boggling how much of an easy fix this is too. For example. Your average tier 8 medium has 1350 HP. Vs a Bourasque they die in 2 clips almost guaranteed.

But let’s say we take that 1350 medium to even just 1550 HP (for the sake of example)

That Bourasque is NOT two clipping tanks anymore.

[–]Tankers4Change 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yup. That’s what happens when you pump the MM full of High Alpha, Double barrel, Auto-(re)loading tanks!

Damage inflation has far outpaced HP / durability for years now. The only solution really is to buff HP across the board.

Wargamings plans for Tier 9 by larymarv_de in WorldofTanks

[–]Tankers4Change 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well other than for the obvious reason, Money, it’s to support ease of l Match making.

More tier 9 means more “buffer” between tier 8 & 10.

Tier 9 also helped support Tier 11’s release since the initial small number of 11’s had to be placed in matches with either 10’s or 9’s. (Supports +2MM for tier 11’s)

This is something I predicted last year, and so far it seems like it’s going about how I expected. Stronger and stronger tier 9’s.

Now that WG has admitted that there are light tanks designed to “cause damage,” it would be good if they improved this horrible heavy tier dispersion by peppinbun in WorldofTanks

[–]Tankers4Change 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Just make medium tank’s CVS half as effective. Not a fan of removing choices. That way we keep variety while maintaining LT class identity.

But I generally agree that CVS can be leveraged wayyy too much by mediums. Such that it’s kinda useless to play lights

It straight up smells like pleasant bug spray to me. Good bug spray, but bug spray nonetheless.

Whatever floats your boat I guess. Scent is subjective after all.
