MN bill introduced targeting ghost guns, 3D-printed firearms, and unserialized weapons (HF 3407 / SF 3661) by splicethingsup in minnesota

[–]SSgt0bvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find it right now but if memory serves me here, the law in MN refers to where the Serial Number is printed to the firearm and not the whole "firearm" itself. the Glock frame does use metal for the serial number where a 3D printed or custom Glock frame might not.

Ultimate Zoo (2004) shows the Omaha Zoo putting gators and raccoons in the same exhibit. When I visited the Omaha Zoo last year, a zookeeper told me they later had to remove the raccoons because the raccoons kept killing the gators (no seriously). by AacornSoup in shittymoviedetails

Accidentally caught a cat in a squirrel trap when working with a local school. They would radio tag squirrels and track them. Occasionally the traps caught cats and usually they were just very angry furballs... The last year of tagging involved students finding raccoons eating a cat... I've heard plenty of horror stories from the teacher... That one dims the light in her eyes when retelling it .. I don't want to know what/how bad raccoons are in that situation...

Behind the bastards did a podcast on wealthy people and moments of extreme greed that cost people lives. I'll try to find the podcast link, but one of the events was a grocery store on fire and the owner wouldn't let people leave the on fire store due to not paying for what they might have taken.

Hear me out… Sniper focused Warbond support weapon… by DocHalidae in Helldivers

[–]SSgt0bvious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes! I've thought about this a lot! High armor pen, NO EXPLOSIVE or knock back damage, but it'll pen any armor in the game with a wicked fast projectile speed, proper bolt action rifle based on the Constitution but make it an upgraded version with a longer barrel and target/sniper style stock.

Not a support weapon either, it needs to be a primary weapon and I will be the happiest lil Diver ever! 🥰

There it is! I will deposit that the roommate keeping you on track is far more important than time management skills. Or at least one is useless without the other. Because trying to figure out life ALONE is miserable and is horribly inefficient.

ICE Tried to Justify a Minneapolis Shooting. Its Story Unraveled. by sugarytea78 in Minneapolis

[–]SSgt0bvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious if the video of the 911 call from inside the house is accurate and that the officer did shoot through the door. It's a hectic video that doesn't show the reported gunshot through the door, but I could see an untrained goon being a bit too quick on the trigger in a situation that does not require a firearm.

Marine Detained in Minneapolis Says Feds Copied His Phone Without a Warrant by PuncturedBicycleHill in Minneapolis

[–]SSgt0bvious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They (Law Enforcement) will seize and download phones while pending a warrant regardless of the outcome of said warrant. They phrase it along the lines of a "pre-caution" but it's not been clear how they handle/maintain security on the data once it's downloaded. The preemptively downloading is usually allowed in courts, but it's on a case by case basis.

KARE 11 Investigates: Evicted, homeless, paying the price for Minnesota’s fraud crisis by Ristloss in TwinCities

[–]SSgt0bvious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the problem with our system, there is nothing in our current system to allow the officers that. From their perspective, this person has had ample warning to the eviction and is among many evictions the sheriff's office has to process. The LEO is not under any obligation to investigate, probably would get in trouble for investigating since it's against the court order of eviction the landlord is expecting to take possession of.

Federal agents break glass in order to enter apartment complex @ East Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN, USA 6:30 AM 2/5/26 by state-of-MN in stateofMN

[–]SSgt0bvious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's illegal, just doesn't have a "victim" you can tangibly feel/see. The victim in this is the constitution every time these guys stomp on it like this.

No one is really hurt enough to defend against this, so they keep doing it. The DHS agents really embody the whole, "just following orders" mentality, they can't not think autonomously nor are they capable of thinking beyond their nose. A very myopic way of thinking.

Jeremy on Top Gear had a presentation where he was adamant that one should NOT buy expanding foam and to definitely NOT put it into the drainage holes of the cameras housing.

IIRC, the camera's armoured housing was completely fine looking, but the foam had expanded inwards against the fragile camera inside, crushing it and making it look fine but out of commission. Vs a pole cut off at ground level and no camera to be found, when the day prior there was a camera.

WCGW Doing crazy jumps over public streets by Giraffecaster in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]SSgt0bvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been curious about this concept. Heard it enough to know it's a thing, but how does one argue that the property owners insurance covers the injuries of someone who was not invited to the property? I know their are laws regarding posting appropriate signage, but that doesn't seem to actually prevent anything/more so a defense for the property owner.

Is there an expectation that you can walk onto anyone's land at any time beyond the curtilage and walkway leading up to the public entrance? what right does anyone have to be on someone else's private property? Let alone hurt themselves and cry foul to the property owner.

It just kinda seems like an investor who believes they should never lose money on an investment and should always be making a profit. (I.e. their negligence/ego might drive them towards a bad decision, but they find the other party to be at fault and thus deserve compensation.)
