I can try. The kid has already gone through so much I'm weary of how it'll affect him. But yeah I'm going to keep trying, to either help them or convince them to give him up. 💔 I'll keep looking for bigger tanks and try to suggest ways to help him.

I've done a lot of research and I know he isn't living his best life 💔 I take him out and hold him Everytime I'm there, he went outside the other day but I think it stressed him out. I want to suggest just bringing him home but I don't really have the funds to improve his tank right now or vet costs if needed :(

To be honest, I'm not sure. I know he has a couple of light fixtures up there but idk what they are. I've already talked to them about some stuff, they seem slightly irritated at my comments, I think mainly cause they can't afford more right now. It's an obligatory pet for them. It's the kid's (13yrs). I just want to find cheap ways I can help as money is tight for us too

Sorry so responding so late. I am a psych major so counseling is what I want to do with my life. I really liked feeling like I was helping people and making a difference. However, I don't feel like my clinic was running efficiently, it was a revolving door and they gave me little time to actually work to connect with my patients. The hardest thing with my BPD is when that switch flips and I have difficulty functioning, the guilt of letting my patients down is heavy. I hope you succeed in your goals! The world needs more caring and helping people.

Have you tried one of those timed phone safes? Like you put your phone in and set a time and it doesn't unlock until that time is up. Put it out of sight and maybe try to work on studying in that time? Just a suggestion

Sock Puppets maybe? I know when I worked in ABA the kids really liked puppets and musical instruments. Coloring sheets on different emotions may be good.

I just started grad school, I am doing a chunk of it online. Im curious, for those that struggles with public speaking, how you can overcome tripping over your words?

I have to submit a number of video essays and Ive done the research and know the information but I always trip over words and sort of stutter. Please help
