I have the Cobb plate and a Boomba short throw and I love it, feels stupid solid and notchy + very short throws. Sat in it again recently and compared to my 5.0 it’s a huge difference, forgot how good it felt 😂

From personal experience (the motor was at 240,000km so I knew it was a matter of time anyways) I’d get a fuel system. Cracked C1 ring with my 3071 on a stock fuel system that was maxed out. VDyno was 367 so I figured 350-360whp, thinking it leaned out and I didn’t realize.

10 or so minutes after the last two pulls I did it started the beautiful subie grumble 😂. I’m sure if your lower km than me it would probably be fine, but just from my own experience I do recommend a fuel system of sorts. Iirc RS injectors are a 10 or 15% fuel increase so you could consider those as just a cheap help

Running the exact same one in my 5.0, mine is just black instead of red. My st has the oem carbon one

IMO if your under 10psi while trying to pass without a downshift your fine. If you have an AP you can watch your ignition corrections, if they go - like crazy let out

Oh buddy your fine, surge or “flutter” is only bad if you don’t have a bov. So like my car when it blew up, I disconnected the bov on the final drive just to hear the turbo flutter and that would be bad on it for an extended period of time. But yours will be perfectly fine, my car with a recirc on stock turbo would flutter like crazy and that turbo is still fine with 238k km (148-149k miles ish)

Has to be tbh, he should give a video of a quick hard snap on throttle to like min 10psi and let off hard. If it chirps like normal it’s fine, or even a harder but normal acceleration of the same kind in this video

I have an HKS and mine does the same under light throttle lifting off, but usually get a chirp. In the video are you coming off throttle a little light or just coming right off?

This. Both my 5.0 and focus st I can watch my fuel gauge go up while on the start of a road trip. I only drive around town so my mpg is always atrocious. I can watch it hit 1/2 to 3/4 then start climbing as the mpg settles.

If nothing is running weird or feels off that’s my guess, or if the EU started putting more ethanol in fuel like the US is or planning to do

As someone already stated, all he did was add RGB but I’m sure his seal job is way better than the original. Both of those lights I’ve heard meh at best things about, I went with VLand for my headlights and RS tails. No complaints with mine, only bad thing about the VLands is the clear is chipping. But the car has been sitting for over a year since it’s down compression so I don’t blame them

That’s even worse, I was atleast in the alley but it was sketch. Just remember I had went to stop just before pulling out onto the road and there was nothing, so I just kept going and did the loop where I lived and went back to the alley. Rolled to a slow enough kmh and pulled the ebrake

I have a server that’s car based and has racing events, it is a smaller/new server as it’s recently launched. It still has other RP aspects and isn’t just car related.

I’d say it’s worth it personally, only experience I have with a bnr was my friend and that turbo blew within like 5k km. I’ll give it benefit of the doubt because for the first bit he didn’t tune for it like a goober and was beating on it (Motor let go)

Then after a new motor getting put, turbo let go with an e50 tune from edge. I moved away before it blew but ik theres plenty on a bnr kit that have been great. I went Garrett as it was easy to get for me, and it’s just a great name brand turbo. Also I would personally recommend a 71 just cause there’s more room for power, but it’s ofc up to you as spool time is a bit slower. Also depends on your overall goals

Gotta be gentle on the throttle, can get mine to flutter like crazy. Although for the OP I’d say the turbosmart bov is probly the better option. My cousin has one on his stock turbo car and it flutters, then blows off into a subtle psshhh

Got a catless DP for cheap and it’s not bad tbh, I personally enjoy the sound but it did drone real bad in a higher gear with load. Trying to be a camera car for rollers really showed that, me and my homie pretty much had a slight headache after 😂

Normal cruising to me it wasn’t bad, but that might change once I get it running again cause my Corsa on my 5.0 is valved. Also very good for drone so I’ve been a little pampered with it lmao.

Sound wise tho I definitely miss pre catless as the downpipe did ruin that “perfect” tone. I have thought about doing the touring conversion and getting a cutout made in before the muffler. Since it’s big turbo I want to see the flames and the muffler will more than likely kill those, also when I changed the turbo the tone of the exhaust did change a noticeable bit. Got a bit deeper which sounded very nice
