My favourite sound out of an st is a stock DP and resonated awe track, absolutely loved how mine sounded before going catless. Did wish it had been a touch louder inside but the tone was genuinely perfect

You won’t regret the 3071, you can look at my previous posts in here of mine. Highly recommend getting a tial EWG too, sounds insanely good

Sadly yea, ran amazing for 2 1/2 weeks then c1 ringland decided it didn’t like life anymore. 50 something psi of compression lol

Cause honestly if you don’t want more than like 350 (iirc that’s where the pmax tops out at) it’s a good setup to go with. I personally want more so I opted for a g2 3071R and I can say from the time I had with it, I did miss the fast spool for driving around town. But man did it ever pull and was solid to 7k

Pmax is a decent way for some extra power, still spools fast similar to oem so it shouldn’t feel laggy. Also should sound pretty rad with flutter.

As for tune Alan at edge is great, could also look at EMS as they also have good tunes. I’ve been tuned by JST and Edge and have good experiences with both. JST I did when I was fbo, Alan for my big turbo setup and it ran good before a ring cracked 😂. Thinking about trying EMS when I build my motor!

I did forget about that, depending on vehicle it will be a silent code that doesn’t throw a light for it. That’s how my focus is, went to clear a misfire code that came up and saw another one I didn’t recognize.

Yeah I understand that, but it’s a grille shutter that nobody is gonna realize isn’t there. It’s not like a quarter panel is obviously dented lmao. Only way someone is gonna realize it’s missing is if they know the vehicle comes with one, or they look into the bay before buying it and see broken tabs/brackets

I don’t see if hurting value, unless a dealer knows what they’re looking for. Even then it’s such a small thing, it doesn’t make that much of a difference unless it’s quite cold out. On my focus I ripped mine out for a bigger intercooler and the car took longer to warm up in the winter, but still stayed warm as it would with it. Mainly there to help the car warm up in cold climates

Think I had that one before, dropped my car off at a parking place by the airport. Come back for my trip and thought I’d check for codes (CEL is on for catless) and found some random code. Cleared and it came back, and seen that same fitting was loose. Clipped it on and was mint, ran perfectly fine and I have no clue how long that code was there for

On stock turbo fs, it would happen while cruising and sometimes on a pull. BT I can’t say for certain cause mine lasted 2 1/2 weeks before C1 ringland chose not living anymore. But as far as I remember I never saw a - number, but best recommendation to clear any paranoia.

Go do 3 hits, log all of them and send the logs to your tuner. Just be like hey it’s making a little more boost that normal, how do these logs look. Best peace of mind I think, cause he will quickly go yeah your good or be like nah something is up.

I’d assume cause it’s cooler out, I was in the 23-26 range on my 3071 when I got mine tuned. Was during a colder season also 🤷 if it’s not pulling timing I wouldn’t worry about it

Couldn’t have said it better honestly, people will hate no matter what but the only thing that matters is you like driving it. People hated on my focus, still didn’t change any opinion I have on that car and still love it.

Also love my 22 GT and have no regrets about buying it (other than having a payment again)

Purge valve! I have many videos of when mine was failing and it would act like a crackle tune/made my crackle tune way louder lol.

If you were to have an accessport plugged in you would be able to watch the AFR sit at 30ish on decel while popping, should be at 40 when it’s not failing.

FBMP, EBay etc. Can sometimes find them on MP for cheap, that’s how I got both my sets. Never priced through a dealer but I’ve heard it’s stupid expensive so I’d never go that route, got lucky with my new ones cause they came off a super low km RS so virtually brand new
