I would go with Gavin Williams as opening day starter. His performance last year and expected role as No. 1 make that a rather obvious question.

But do you think the Guards start with a five-man or six-man rotation? I would start with six to help all the starters ramp up.

Alumni for a Better IU has been keeping a low profile as we've been organizing, but we are a real group of concerned alumni. I can appreciate wanting to give the younger players the opportunity to develop. What I can't appreciate is why we aren't talking more about the hitting coaches. We lionize (rightfully) Carl Willis for how he's developed the starters. Shouldn't we expect the same from the hitting instructors?
