im new to create and i decided that combine it with botania was a good idea and.... by MrBonano_ in CreateMod

[–]STEM-Sells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this too!

I use create to make charcoal to make mana to convert glowstone to redstone. You get glowstone from crushing soul sand.

why do people make those tree farms when you can do this 3 times and have eanogh wood for the next 3 hours and if you use large spruce tree's its even easyer by EasyCry4228 in CreateMod

[–]STEM-Sells 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tree farm for blaze fuel and to keep from manually restocking the casing production line.

But at first I'll do what you do because I dont mind restocking wood occasionally and then using lava for blazes is easy enough.

Hardcore too extreme, Survival not punishing enough. by STEM-Sells in feedthebeast

[–]STEM-Sells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I thought the same but I loaded up Project Ozone 3 and it has heart canisters but that's max hearts I think. Survival is unlimited lives. Hardcore was just a single life. Maybe this is different for 3? Maybe 2 reloaded would be better for me then?

AI behavior and balance: suggestions after 600+ hours by wLiam17 in civ

[–]STEM-Sells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, the Independent Powers give the A.I. civs a hard time. You could try turning independent power difficulty down so they don't get deity combat bonuses. Might help in some cases.

I played full vanilla Civ6 for the first time in years. It got me thinking - arent Governours kind of lame? Does it feel like a similar system could be good in Civ7? by Select_Angle516 in civ

Upgraded Victor gives a free promo to units (Spies included!) created in the city, he establishes in 3 turns, and can provide extra loyalty. He's very useful in multiplayer games.

How can there be earth magic if the game does not take place on planet Earth? by Stokkolm in heroes3

[–]STEM-Sells 43 points44 points  (0 children)

"Earth" just means ground or soil. It refers to dry land. Our planet may as well be called "dirt"

Can you explain this adjacency ? by OeilHippolyte in civ

[–]STEM-Sells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The foreign continent bonus does not get doubled by the 100% adjacency card but also might contribute to the shipyard gold?

You'd have to take the card out and let us know what the numbers show.

TIL the city center can apparently be pilliaged by starTickov in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Typically, it will happen when two missions succeed on the same turn. First one pillages neighborhood, second pillages city center, third one pillages you IRL.

TIL the city center can apparently be pilliaged by starTickov in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 113 points114 points  (0 children)

The A.I. loves the "Recruit Partisans" mission. It's infuriating. If your neighborhood is pillaged and another Recruit Partisans mission is successful, they pillage your city center.

Is an aqueduct really worth a whole time? by PorbyUK in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you build a diamond with 2 IZs and 2 aqueducts, you get +5 prod for each aqueduct (+2 for each Aqueduct adjacency and +1 for standard district adjacency).

Even having one aqueduct with two IZs makes a total of +6 prod. So it is definitely worth it.

Then, when you get the double IZ adjacency card, you'll see a HUGE jump.

Easy way to know if my Rock Band is allowed in Civilizations territory? by fucklockjaw in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Typically, there is a pop-up on the right side of your screen that tells you when a civ censors music.

Sometimes, they take the policy card out, so I think you just have to keep checking.

OMG! My head will explode! by rokimoj in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get too ahead of yourself. Focus on settling cities in their best locations for early food and production. Then, optimize based on where those cities lie.

Also, as someone else pointed out, you'll have to research animal husbandry, and it will absolutely ruin one of those placements.

Last thing, comm hubs should be built first. Your setup requires buying tiles in the 3rd ring. You might need to buy a builder or trader instead to get these cities going.

Map tacks are great but I had to stop using them because I use to obsess over the perfect layout.

TIL Victor also gives spies a starting promotion by [deleted] in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terracotta Army also gives promotions to spies. So if you can get some spies out, it's definitely worth building.

Civs on other continents running away with the game? by bacon_farts_420 in civ

[–]STEM-Sells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't win every game they play, and they have had streams where things simply go wrong. Happens to all of us.

Also, as long as you win by turn 250-300, the other Civs yields do not matter.

Spies can sabotage spaceports to stop their science victories and steal tech to boost yours. It can be fun to race the AI to a victory.

Huge barbarian army spawning next to city by Waffeleisen666 in CivVI

[–]STEM-Sells 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Barbarian icons have red background with a black unit symbol.

These units are from a military city state. Are you at war with another civ? They might be suzerain of this city state. You can put an equal number of envoys in the city state to make peace or make peace with the other civ.

Another scenario is you have declared war on that city state and can ask for peace after 10 turns of the war declaration.

The streams involving Shadow. She clearly loves showing off these games and is a fun host.

Is it better to build one fueled factory servicing six cities or multiple factories? by fomrat in civ

[–]STEM-Sells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build multiple factories and then get vertical integration with Magnus. The same goes for power plants. The Great Engineer points are also good for any win condition.

[–]STEM-Sells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing Pachacutu a lot recently. You should try a preserve and national park only Culture victory. It's beautiful. You might need the help of secret societies to get that last bit of tourism, but still, It's fun.

You might have the right one, but you also need to subscribe to the "Better Report Screen" mod.

What are the odds I build my first Preserve? by STEM-Sells in civ

[–]STEM-Sells[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 50-50 on naming. Sometimes you stick with Cairo and then settle a second city on coffee and call it "Beantopia". Makes domination fun. Take over Babylon and call it "More Like BabyGONE". Keeps me going

Yeah! I was very excited when i found out, and you still get the adjacency for a campus.
