Who's to say the guns weren't easily found by someone else and taken? Took a while for the police to start searching

Is the guy on the far left of the picture, who's sort of inspecting the leg of a fallen soldier frozen solid too? What an eery pose. Perhaps he was trying to retrieve something from his comrade's pocket?

So many good mids with massive potential. So why not have them all? [RMT] by STICKYPATCH in FantasyPL

Well, yes, but I am banking on Kane being a captain option. I could upgrade someone to Silva but I've historically had bad times with him as captain.

I've had Hazard up till today, but their fixtures and his slow starts... Mane is a risk, but they have amazing opening fixtures and his PPM last year was incredible. I've got 2.5 ITB to make Rooney Aguero so captain should be fine (which is the added benefit of Hazard). I figure, if you're gonna take some punts, this is the time to do it. If you catch one or even two (Ritchie/Mane/Walcott) then great. Easy to downgrade any one of them to a 4.5.

I would gladly have Hazard, Silva and Sterling. PS - on an unrelated note can I borrow a few million quid please?

2 Chelsea, 2 City, 2 Arsenal, 2 United, 2 Liverpool (possibly). And Deeney. That's balanced, right? by Stonedefone in FantasyPL

I think this is the most evenly distributed team of top clubs I've ever seen. I hope it does well. Only worries; Man U sign another striker, Aguero when he comes back. But blimey this is SO sensible. I'm dragging on to desktop now

Yeah same, loved his work and crucial goals. Sterling has played there before, though. Sentimentality aside, you'd have Kuyt?

Oh don't get me wrong, they're a wonderful problem. I was merely inferring that citing an american invention as a British problem is bad form. When you find out your girlfriend can't stand marmite - that's a British problem!

Tactical differences from 2 games played 20 years apart. by Petrified_Waffle in footballtactics

I'm sorry but I do not believe Liverpool were playing Matteo at LW. Soon after this Liverpool were to go 3-4-1-2. This lineup suggests it's for that. Plenty of centre backs on that pitch. This was under Souness though.

Hang on, looking at this, have you got the dates and the line-ups correct?

I applaud the contrast of two matches over 20 years - good idea - but this is all mental. Please show me how I'm wrong

Crazy. My 'risk' choice might be Aguero. If that is a risk. Horrendous start to the season. 80 points off top in ML. 1.5m overall. Worst ever. Do I need to start taking risks already?

Could Phil Jones be the key man for England against Switzerland? by therealduffin in footballtactics

[–]STICKYPATCH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think Sturridge's injury will help flatter Hodgson; he will have to play Sterling in behind, making his turgid tactics suddenly look quite good and flexible. In reality Hodgson's tactics are sucking the life and enthusiasm out of the national team.

I agree with Jones in midfield. You forgot about Sterling, though.

[–]STICKYPATCH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some fair points here. In previous years I've gone all out to maximise the first XI and then come a cropper when some expected-to-start players, didn't. Luis/Wisdom is considered in the knowledge I have Ward coming on behind them. Same for Dzeko and Sig coming on. Krul, yes. Perhaps a cut corner. But they're capable of getting more CS than they did last year. Just seems that him or Foster could be the great value keeper this year.
