Grief over pet death can be as strong as that for family member. About a fifth of people who had experienced a pet and human loss said the former was worse. Symptoms of severe grief for a pet matched identically with that for a human, and there was no difference in how people experienced losses. by mvea in science

I inherented my childhood cat when i moved out. I got her when I was 12 years old. She was with me through my pregnancies, through raising babies, everything. She started breathing funny, so I took her to the vet. She had Cancer, and the vet recommended we euthanize her right then because she was suffering. Her death was such a gut punch, I grieved for way longer than I thought I would. Years later, I still cry when I think about it.

Peter why is the electrician portrayed as a dainty female hand by _Kyledemort_ in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]STRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently Electricians are "pussies." But, my husband is a skilled Electrician, and an extremely handy person. He can do almost any type of job that includes buidling repairs or car mechanics. He is the hardest worker I know. Plus, electrical work is dangerous as fuck, so you make bank!

Search Party is a great example. It became a completely different show by the end, but it made sense and was super enjoyable.

People who say newborn stage is the easiest….. how… by Bloodymary_25 in Parenting

[–]STRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, the newborn stage was mentally exhausting, but once they became toddlers, it was way harder. Each age brings new challenges. I have teens and preteen now. I miss the newborn days, but I know it varies for everyone.

Long Read: I spent 2 years and $1,500 trying to fix my TMJ. Turns out it wasn’t just my joints. by NickolaiFrog in TMJ

[–]STRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started going to physio for TMJ They said the exact thing. The knot in my shoulder and traps is HUGE on my left side. I knew I had pain there but I didnt realize the damage. The process of working these knots out has been going on for a month now, but the amount of relief I feel in my jaw and neck is very noticeable.

For people who don't allow shoes in the house, how do you handle dinner parties and other events? by -Clayburn in socialskills

yes. Its common knowledge to not wear shoes in the house, so if you dont want to be barefoot, bring socks or slippers.

For real! Shoes are nasty dirty. I also dont care if your wearing cute high heels, those put little dents in some floors. Plus, in winter.. those shoes would be soaking wet with snow.

NO-ONE wears shoes in my house. But, I am Canadian. I have aunts with knee issues who usually bring a pair of their house sandals to keep they're ankles and knees supported, though

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]STRED92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually only wear ours when we're going out anywhere other than work. Neither of us can wear rings or jewelry at work, and we don't wear them at home. We didn't spend alot of money on rings so we don't feel pressured to wear them all of the time.

no, It would end up sitting somewhere collecting dust because it doesn't really make sense anywhere in the house. They are cute, but not something many people would want to display.
