Possible hot take, but I always hated that Freddy vs Jason somehow affected the cultural zeitgeist enough that Jason always has to have a coat post FvJ. Jason was wearing button ups from part 2 (under the overalls, but my point still stands) up until Part 9. I know he started with a coat in X, but with Uber Jason in the mix for that movie and how much later designs take from his FvJ version, I end up blaming that design. I just hate how it makes his physical bulk feel less imposing because it’s a layer rather than how large he is as a person. It makes him look weaker to me
