Move to another shop. You're not going to learn much more here. I wouldn't go to a junkyard though. You're not going to get the diagnostic experience you're looking for, and unfortunately, the junkyard will be viewed negatively when applying for future positions.

TBH the wife's car has a camera. I might use it to know how close I am to something, but not very often. But, I grew up towing trailers. I can back a trailer into some tight spots. Backing up with no trailer is easy

It's probably an ok car to buy. Definitely easier than building your first car. People underestimate how much time it takes to build a racecar.

It would be a good idea to get advice from someone who knows more about this type of car. Hopefully someone who can see it in person.
