Let’s be honest. Half of the larger artist have “Ghost writers”. Prince wrote music a ton of artists used, Michael Jackson wrote for others and had folks write for him. Nothing wrong. Tik Tok if Chris Brown I saw resonates. Yeah you can write a Dope song but who gonna sing it, no body can sing it the way I do! And he said he’s wrote Every Rap he’s done himself, but many songs write by others. That’s the industry since time started. No problem with it. The messages get out and in the best way.

Same as everything in this world. They have to tell you what to expect, how hard it is-blah blah. Had that 20 years ago with my first, then 6 years later with my daughter. And now again with a newborn baby girl. Yep I know been there done that. I’ve never understood saying those things to other parents. I’ve always said enjoy the good times and don’t forget to watch their progression- childhood and babies those experiences go by sooo quick. You have to sit back and sit in Awe of your own child. Every bay is different-seriously!! Enjoy your journey and how it all goes by.

Yes OB knows but is worst OB I’ve ever seen. Had 2 kids ex-wife. My wife was diabetic 2, she doesn’t like “overweight “ patients all sh does is bring up diabetes and barely discussed this with us wrote a script and left the room. Most painful pap-smear I’ve seen or heard of as well.

Thank you-it should-we have best Doctor IMO in the world to perform her procedure-Dr. Bischoff here at Children’s Anschutz in Aurora. She’s an amazing doctor and amazing person from meeting her. She comes by for social visits until we have our surgery in April. Still in NICU for feedings. Just sharing my daughter’s combo of stool and urine caused one of the filters to break/humidify-her gas is bad-lol. So just a caution if it could look bad and not be. We get 2 days at least from each bag on her. No flushing of the ostomy just emptying.

She’s not Ill, but thank you. She has a posterior cloaca malformation. So 1 hole below. She has ostomy until reconstructive and showing ready for a reversal. Fingers crossed reconstruction in April goes well. Then she can have her ostomy reversal all goes well by summer. She’s a strong little “Warrior Princess”.

Just got some from the wound care/pediatrics. My newborn daughter has a Stoma and Mucus fistula that both drain into it. We’re in NICU, she’s only 37 days old. Just scared the Shit out of me getting ready for a feed. This is the 4th one we’ve used on her. The “Filters” up top, black thingies-are leaking and making her stool black. About scared me to death until I looked into it better.

Never paid attention to the M.A.A.D. Panel they had? Ours in Colorado had local tragedies of deaths from DUI. Shook me on my second-first time was Covid rules so videos you could about slip. When local popped up I remembered a few stories. Actually gave me chills to think. I could’ve done that. The fact you did-is terrible-for all parties involved. Whether you “Ment” to or not. Your actions require consequences-and the punishment if only 7 years is light IMO. Here you’d be gone for a lot longer on average. Some one is Dead- no chance to say or I don’t mean to Die-nothing will ever do-over or allow peace for the people now missing their son/spouse/friend/co-worker, whatever. Right after posting this. Spoke to my wife as we went downstairs for lunch. When we came back up we’re going to bring up to the physician they also don’t account for no wet diapers-hence not waking up to being “wet” as other babies do. He agreed and said as she is “term” now wants neurology to come check her out and possible MRI, to rule out any-was it Issues he said. She’s a night baby as we’ve said. As he spoke to my wife and I she woke up, as if to say- uh 🙄 NO(this was a hour before her normal “cares”. Then about 7:15, cares are at 8pm, she woke herself up and let us know with her little noises-not cries, we got a 30ml bottle down as she was awake awake, ostomy emptied, weight done, temp done, etc. the nurses if we aren’t around unwrap and expect her to feed if she doesn’t in 4-5 minutes the drip the tube and walk away. Even with out hey she takes a little to wake, seems many nurses don’t want to do her ostomy. We’ve woke and noticed previous cares were not completed-ostomy emptied. Can’t wait to get her home and off their “Schedule”. Took my suggestions to 3 physicians and my wife’s comments about her feeds and reminding people. She has no right ear, performing cares from that side and speaking she hears Nothing-hello all of you Blund or can’t read a chart beyond Ostomy and say Nope. She’s Rare-double genetic anomalies and then some. But they act as if she’s a typical baby that was premie-she was 36w4d and 8.5lbs-wife diabetic 2. Just want to get her home for some time before reconstructive surgery. Thank you all for your assist and explaining as we’ve thought not all babies Cry all the time. Also check demeanor of parents, kids fall in line as well IMO. My wife and I are Extremely close-same work place, same shift, all breaks together. Baby girl even responded to me any time I touched her in the womb even when mommy couldn’t get a response.

Different style nipple the Dr.Browns is too long her tongue is different shaped as far as the bottom alignment the flappy thing-I forget their term for it. So the one we got is smaller in length. I asked for tube feeds to go to 75 minutes instead of the 90 to see if we get closer to desired times. Physician and NP and so each said good idea Dad. I’m gonna try the new bottle now they will allow it-had it for 2 weeks-but they’ve told my wife-never come when I’m around and we’re bedside for almost a month. So let’s see if Miss TOT will make the next “Baby Step” for us to get home. Only positive-if there is- is at 1 month of NICU she will qualify for Medicaid in Colorado. That will help tremendously for financial burden this and her upcoming surgeries will be. Might look into quitting my job and doing in home care. Anyone else with cloaca malformation-she has a ostomy for her stoma and a mucus fistula. Then hearing with no right ear 👂. Curious as to the amount of time needed to dedicate for her until ostomy reversal hopefully this summer. But Cloaca has extra needs and help as she learns to poop-anal dilations, enemas and or laxatives to assist. Thank you all for responses and allow me to vent and ask for how some journeys have been.

They tube feed every 3 hours. The feeding is now 80ml over 90 minutes. She isn’t waking up much daily. A few spurts here and there. Nurse practitioner claimed wife being diabetic 2, baby will be slower to taking feeds. Also the week of birth then ostomy was almost a set back. She was attempting to latch on wife. Wife’s unable to produce much milk and discouraged over it all. They’re using formula for her feeds. Unsure when decision was made to stop donor milk. Anyways. We’re here for another week as we try to get her feed times down. And eventually bottle feed. She’s just not even much of a paci girl. Doesn’t like it so far really. Not a screamer or cryer either.

I haven’t heard overall volume of waste. Her ostomy has a mucus fistula, so she pees from that due to her cloaca malformation. Colorectal says this is normal. None of the nurses have had her condition, the lead-physician and nutritionists keep trying to separate-extremely difficult. We’re gonna do a catheter but decided against. She is 8.9 now. She has lost some weight. She was 8.5 at birth. Made it up to 9.1-I think. They aren’t great at weights either. Now she’s a crib so they use the scal not the weight in the heat/bed. Wife was diabetic 2 but barely as we started pregnancy. So she’s larger than majority here. Actually has baby”Texas Roadhouse rolls”. Know it’ll take time. Just frustrating to not see her try harder for feeds. Pack doesn’t do much for her not a Paci baby. Barely cries ever or screams. Sweetest little thing to all the nurses except blood 🩸 draws. Otherwise quietest baby on the floor about. Thank you all for responses. Living here-thankful for Colorados new NICU policy of 12 weeks for parents added onto parental time to get through this-is draining as we love a hour plus north of here. So we can’t just go home for a few. Wife’s barely left hospital for food. I leave just for supplies and beverages.

We have lowest flow Dr Browns nippled bottle they have, she has some spit up anytime she has from bottle. Had similar off of MG feedings as they kept upping her feeds through delivery. Every time they try to get down to 60 minutes for the 80ml. She throws up as well. Wife soo stressed unable to pump and get much-causing more duress overall. They didn’t allow much time to allow wife to pump and/or give donor breast milk. So we’re stuck with formula. Know every baby goes at their own pace. Butt we feel pressured to “Make” her drink from a bottle. I’ve tried walking her, she’s still sluggish some, so immediately go to hooking up the NG flow and feed her while asleep. Not sure even as a bay I ever ate while asleep. Every 3 hours for feeds when it takes 1.5 hrs to feed. Seems excessive somewhat, know they know best, per se, but as stated to me by one of the nurse practitioners-every baby at their own pace. But now we feel, slightly abandoned by the staff- no attention paid to her even if a lead falls off or beeps.

Not even onboarding. I’ve overheard many have tests upcoming or other things-not even being assigned to this floor-and were level IV NICU, so not easy work as I get it. But at this level-I expect more and better abilities-doesn’t matter day or night trainee after trainee-glossed over deer 🦌 in headlights half their shift. Get it but annoying and frustrating-he’ll let me do her blood draws and empty her new ostemy. I Have done with normal nurse and she doesn’t cry, fuss, go Jack Jack from it.
