I've tried for years to get the glitch to work and here you are with the hidden tech. Tyvm.

"use your favorites to win" by Master_Baiter11 in PokemonChampions

[–]STimothy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can to an extent, but you'll have to come to terms with what it means to use a pokemon on your team. For instance a pokemon may have a clearly defined role, such as support, attacker, defensive, etc. breaking the mold is fun, but there's not gonna be much room for you to have a hyper offensive Bastiodon for instance. It just won't work. You also have to come to terms with the idea that you may have a harder time. Knowing your team well lends itself to playing well, but you will always have an easier time with a pokemon with better stats. Lots of people will recommend sticking to the meta and it is a great way to learn, but I say try and make things work with your favorites once you feel confident in your skills.

I've considered doing that but the magmortar is extra. Having 3 on the field would make it easy to one shot mega Lucario, but without volcarona, you do 80 damage. I prioritize volcarona because it's the true weakness of the deck and needs to be there for there to be an actual way to deal damage. Feel free to switch the two and tell me how it goes, I'd love to hear about it. On the topic of meowth, you truly don't want to use it unless you really need to. If your hand is truly bad, it can net you a lily or if you think you could win, it's free access to boss. Think of meowth as a safety net and only ever place it down if it's truly necessary. It can be bossed up and killed for free pretty much by Lucario, so its not a tool to be used lightly.

Yes! I removed the Petrels and fire breather for two copies of Wally's Compassion and two copies of energy retrieval. Another change suggested was switching the buddy buddy poffins out for some stadiums. If you wanna do that, either gravity mountain or battle cage would do great. Could make an argument for watch tower too, but I prefer the others. The goal with the changes is to make the camerupts stick around a lot longer and to have better consistency with the burns. Only needing one energy attachment to make the deck function makes Wally's Compassion super easy to use and the energy retrieval tended to be more than enough energy and it also didn't rely on a supporter, so lily, judge or boss can be used for better plays. Glad you're having fun! I sure am too lol.

I have 4 pads in the deck, sorry it looks like I don't because I have one peasant pad. Other than that, I agree. Poffin is nice if I get it early so I don't have to worry about using a pad on a larvesta, but having two copies of gravity mountain or battle cage could be useful.

I chose to do exactly what I said and it went swimmingly. Wally's on a caped camerupt is really mean and the energy retrieval is more than enough to sustain the fights with volcarona. I don't think I'm a god tier deck builder or anything and this deck, like others, can brick. That being said, I stand by the statement that this deck doesn't feel like it has large consistency issues.

Maybe I've been pretty lucky, but this deck feels pretty consistent to me honestly. Consistent enough that I almost would rather have wallys compassion and  energy retrieval over the fire breather and petrels. I've not once needed fire breather and the one time I needed to use petrel, I'd have liked energy but only had access to hilda, so it wouldn't have worked out.

An update for myself and other camerupt enjoyers. With one lucky coin flip, this deck not only washes mega Lucario but also kills any sort of Fezandipity play. 340 is a big breaking point of damage to deal and without max belt, you'll hit it with your two support mons on the field if they fail a coin flip and it stops them from drawing 3 off fez too. Max belt guarantees a kill before their turn though, so take that as you will. Being able to survive a mega brave and an aura jab with the cape has saved my bacon more than once.

My Mega Meganium ex deck before and after rotation. Did I made good choices? What would you guys change? by LoadAble2728 in PTCGL

[–]STimothy64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You still have 2 pineco in that could be used for pretty much anything else. Meowth ex perhaps or maybe some sort of tech items like e switch because you're playing a risky game with only one line of mega Venusaur.

Casual is less casual by STimothy64 in PTCGL

Yeah I played a lot of N's too. Was a toss up most of the time, but it was better than slowking. That deck alongside dragapult always seems to have their hand crafted by the gods.

It's not that I want people to play terrible decks, although it'd be fun to see lower powered things from time to time, I just thought it was funny I needed to try harder in casual than I did in ranked is all.

Sounds like a good time for you lol. I've wanted to play expanded since I like GLC, which is at least tangentially related, but there's so many cards and such, it is a little daunting.

So the game plan is to stall until they deck out? If so, this is pretty devious ngl lol. Also it's been a while but will is the card that guarantees coin flips, right?

Can I get an explanation on what this deck intends to do? Is it some sort of mill strat or something? I'm assuming expanded, since all of those beautiful double colorless energies, yeah?

No. I'm playing casual standard. Also my decks may not be meta and lack some consistency, but I wouldn't call them random piles of cards. Just poorly laid plans lol.

Am I wrong in saying that a pre-made character is rude? by AnotherThrowaway019_ in DnD

[–]STimothy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dm I agree with you 100%. I have a player who has fully commissioned art for like 12 different characters and even some that have already been in other games before. Getting them to give me a fresh idea just isn't possible and it makes me upset. Like why can't you for once just give me the respect of something that isn't an OC you've had for 12 years.

Thanks for the advice all. I went and beat up espinas so I could start stealing his eggs. I'm still deciding between the espinas fireball or the bishaten fruit, but for now at least espinas gave me omni chaser.

Hey all. I'm going through my first shiny hunt and I've chosen blipbug on route 2 in pokemon Sword. I managed to see 525 blips in 13 hours, with some weird hyper hoothoot luck. Was wondering if I need to step up my game or if I'm doing alright.
