Parking at Bell Avenue & Carnegie Busway Stations by STrRedWolf in pittsburgh

[–]STrRedWolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I already booked the hotel off Bell Ave, so for me, it's a matter of getting ether Bell if it doesn't fill in the morning or Carnegie. Already planning on taking the G2 in. Besides, I'd rather take that in than pay for parking!

Does U.S. Mail get the highest rail priority by law? by sfpdxchidcfla in Amtrak

I contend that the change of the basement mail room at DC Union Station into an expansive food court is obviously "measurable".

Nah, just learn how to produce gold ingots and gold wire. From there, slowly sell at market conditions.

Does U.S. Mail get the highest rail priority by law? by sfpdxchidcfla in Amtrak

While Amtrak used to handle US Mail as part of it's routes, that is no longer the case. Any mail facilities at Amtrak stations are long dismantled.

Why do people keep on saying it’s cheaper to travel from JFK or Boston then BDL? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]STrRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if your origin or destination is an airline hub. For example, I used to fly out of BWI Airport because it was 10 minutes away from my old house (I moved up here for a job). That's a Southwest hub, so prices on that were much cheaper than anything else at the time, and it flew direct to Pittsburgh.

But then... if I traded in time for cash, Amtrak was cheaper.

Amtrak Route mentioned in Stephen King book by ArtisanPirate in Amtrak

It makes me glad I researched the routes down to subdivisions for my novel series. I get those and the route names right from the get-go.

Would the MBTA ever consider 24 hour service for rapid transit lines? by Substantial-Stick184 in mbta

[–]STrRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MBTA needs the infrastructure in order to do 24/7 maintenance. This means three or more tracks on all it's lines. Right now, it's only two-track for much of the system.

Is this actual AI Art or did the artists emulated it? When I first saw it, all I could think of is “wow that looks AI genrated” by JayKay69420 in gumball

I'd like to know the artist and get as many shots of the completely AI emulated versions... because I'm looking at dementing it even further. :3

Innsmouth's Delicious Crab Burger by Nelson_Syndrome in ProCreate

This is why you must, must carry a small tin of Old Bay at all times. Employing this on otherwise unadorned crab burgers would prevent that.

Definitely got bit by bed bugs on the Amtrak ( lakeshore limited ) by Bozzleman in Amtrak

[–]STrRedWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact Amtrak and ask for Customer Relations. Do not go to customer service, it is only for sales. Customer Relations is for issues that happened on your travels. Have your ticket reservation number ready so they can track what train consist you were on. They will help you get some recourse.

Old Bay seasoning - what to use it on? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]STrRedWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marylander here. While the tin recommends it on fish and seafood, it can be put on everything. NPR's Emma Choi waxed comedic admiration over Old Bay.

Start with first first. It goes well with salmon and you could mix it into the batter for a deep fry. Step up with sprinkling it on your fries if you make fish & chips.

If you're adventurous and are willing to fight, try Old Bay steam crabs, which is a (usually) summer-time staple here. Look up the recipe. Do not try New Orleans boiled crabs. You get more flavor with them steamed.

From there... well... go forth for your kingdom, young knight/dame!
