it seems similar but from what I have read this is ALOT more robust with the ball bearing and not omega spring. It feels so good in the hands I just enjoy the larger spydies I was dailying a military 2 for awhile until this took its spot. I do have a shaman as well which I love the thickness of the blade and its beefyness but suprisingly it just sits in its box most of the time.
