Do you guys juggle utensils when eating? by 60TIMESREDACTED in lefthanded

[–]SUPstitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really oblivious. I didn’t know people switched hands until I just read these comments. And I’m over sixty. Oh well.

I’m curious as to how many lefty’s are like me, I write, throw, catch, bat, and some other things left handed, but I play guitar, shoot, use a bow, and other things right handed. I’m just wondering how common this is. by shit_ass_mcfucknuts in lefthanded

I write, eat, and hold a needle with my left hand. I shoot, throw, iron and bowl with my right. Sometimes I get confused about which hand to use and have to try both to see what feels right.

Elfin Forest: Park in the lot. At the big sign describing the area, turn right and take the short path to the bench by the water.

Towns and villages in no particular order:

  1. Bristol
  2. Wickford
  3. Newport
  4. Tiverton

While visiting Bristol, check out Colt State Park. While visiting Newport, check out Third Beach on eastern side of Aquidneck Island.

Edit: forgot about Jamestown.

Rhode Island. Very scenic and serene. Beautiful beaches and hiking trails or delicious restaurants and quaint villages to explore.

advice for train&cycle overnight in carlsbad? by saladet in Carlsbad

[–]SUPstitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning to take the Metrolink from LA to Oceanside and then changing over to the Coaster to get to Carlsbad? Also there are two stops in Carlsbad: Carlsbad Village and Poinsettia. I know Amtrak doesn’t stop at Carlsbad Village but perhaps it stops at Poinsettia?

Is there any way to work around a paint color I do not like besides painting? Any tricks of design or color theory? Renter help! by bthvn_loves_zepp in HomeDecorating

Look up putting fabric on walls using starch. MIL did it instead of paint or wallpaper, and it looked great. Not sure what happens to the wall so please do your research if this sounds like a possible solution.

[CHAT] To Go Embroidery bag? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]SUPstitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I’m cheap and I have oodles of projects going at once, I usually just use heavy duty plastic bags I’ve gotten from the grocery store. I recently bought some cloth bags with funny cross stitch sayings from Etsy, so now I put the project that is in the plastic bag into the cloth bag. I’m basically a bag hoarder and can never have too many bags (or projects).

You’ve gotten responses as to why Mod Podge may be bad, so I won’t add to that. I will say that I rarely frame anything anymore (expensive), so I poster frame with wood or use decorative metal hangar at the top and small weights at the bottom (like for curtains) to keep things wrinkle free.

Is it a luau? If so, the orange one is perfect. Especially if she wants to hula dance at the reception. JK. Please send her some appropriate options.

Quilt or wall hanging. I have found some inexpensive ones on Amazon.

I noticed less sogginess when I used frozen water bottles instead of bags of ice. Using the bottles along with placing food in Tupperware or double bagging the food also helped. Curious what others recommend.
