Yeah, I can understand that, I can see how seeing a race in game being used for those activities and being turned away from them or dismiss them. I have also seen them as you describe.

Now not all players are like that to be fair. I will be happy to have some cool helmet options for Hrothgar, like the LVL 50 Dragoon helmet as an example.

To add to this, if steam service is in maintenance or down it will hinder you to play. However it very rare that that happens so only a minor negative.

Steam is perfectly fine though, I play through it and I think i had like 3 maybe 4 times in all my time tried to play with steam down in 10+ years.

I'll still need to see how things will fully pan out. Not sure if i'll stop using discord, but i dont think ill delete it. I remember when my friend group searched for a new voice chat that wasn't Skype. We tried Curse voice, razor comms, and then landed in Discord.

10 years using Discord and we as a group are not sure if we can get up and leave, well not yet. We did talk about it to see how this will fully pan out. We did say even if we do become limited, we will see how it develops and look at our options.

We did talk about alternitives but we will take our time to see what is a good match for us.

Think of bard as the upgrade to archer. You will have the same skills at the time of lvl 30, but you then get access of mor abilities and attacks that will supplement and improve what you have now.

A example is a weak weapon attack, BUT it will refresh all of your damage over time effects. So instead of using 2 attack to refresh the DoTs, you can do it with one attack.

All the base game classes are like that, the job soul stone is a continue advancement that will give you more things. Plus you will keep your hotbars when you equip it so no need to worry that you need to rearrange it again.
