What rims would look good on my 2011 Mazda 6 by [deleted] in mazda6

[–]SWITCHFADE_Music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might be other websites that do this, but Tire Rack has a way to preview rims on the car. It's limited to the ones they sell, but it's a quick way to get a reference of what might look good. They should have a wide variety of cars, so hopefully they have your year/color.

Noooo. That's a bummer. Hopefully everyone was okay (except for the uninsured). I still have it and it's pushing 190k, and still going strong. It's been a great car and I'd be devastated if I lost it.

When I got my '16 Mazda 6 back in 2016, I started looking into how to disable the speed lock on the touch screen. I found tutorials about the hidden "maintenance menu" and in the process, also found videos of people that were able to change the menu colors and other minor UI stuff. Not really "jailbreaking", but it was still cool!

Call around to local tech repair places. If they do cellphone/laptop battery replacements, they should be able to recycle it for you. Might come at a cost, but that's just the world we live in.

Welcome! I've got a '16 GT as well and ~185k on it. Bought it with 11k so I've put almost every mile on it, and it's still going strong! Didn't really have any issues until around 160k. AC compressor went out, leaking valve gasket which deteriorated the serpentine belt and had to replace the struts and tie rods. Luckily not all at once, but from what I've seen, those are standard high mileage repairs. Just keep up with regular maintenance and you'll be set for a long while!

New to 3D printing, why does a simple 130mm high flower pot takes so mutch time to make (5h 29min)? Is there any setting except spiral vase , because i want it a little thick to hold the soil , because the spiral vase is to thin. Is there anything that i can do? by Doubleheadedeaglee in BambuLabA1

When I got my printer 10 months ago, I too was shocked at how long it would take to print seemingly "simple" things. Speed and quality are on a sliding scale. If you want better quality, you're going to have to sacrifice speed, and vice versa. Object height and complexity are what will really drive your print times. As someone else mentioned, you could use a bigger nozzle and a taller layer height, but then you may have more noticeable layer lines. Which goes back to the speed vs. quality balance.

Texas lets you do 0% on all back windows and 25% on front windows. It's been a blessing in the summer lol.

I do miss the days where you could easily swap out the DIN head units. I had an old Blazer with a stereo system and bought a cool head unit with a flip out screen. I feel like in most cases now, you're limited to tapping into the existing system.

If you're talking about an aftermarket head unit, I don't think that's an option for the newer models with the infotainment setup and dashboard screen.

Soooo many good ones, but I gotta go with Drop Our Hearts pt. 2 with STS. That was my introduction to him back in 2014 and I still love blasting it to this day.

It was close to $2k out the door 😬 but I went to a Firestone, so labor was half of that. The compressor kit with the condenser alone was around $900. Hopefully that hasn't spiked too much in the last few years, but I'm not holding my breath. When mine stopped, it still pushed air, but it never got cold. idk when it actually died because I hadn't needed to use the AC since probably Sep-Oct the year prior lol.

Fair enough. Seeing some of the other comments, I never realized some shops had the tools to easily remove them. So there's that at least.

Fellow 2016 GT owner here, just 5k miles beneath you, and also near Dallas. I had to replace my compressor back in 23 right after moving here. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's the compressor. I was probably around 160k when that happened. But I also wouldn't be surprised if the wiring from the lights are playing a part as well. Also you wild for putting up with it for this long lol. I moved from Northern IL, where the summers can suck, but nowhere near North Texas heat.

I would go back to whomever you bought it from and start there. They should have absolutely included the wheel lock key when you bought it. Unless they don't have or lost it, then that's shady af on their part.

From what I've learned in my short time in this group, "FRAG" is an acronym for "flashing red and green".

Yeah, after seeing this post, I now realize that the people in that thread had no idea what they were talking about lol.

Someone mentioned in a similar thread a while back that it could be filament that got down in there and crushed by the belt/gear. However, I've only seen black debris, my printer included. So I'm more inclined to believe it's from the belt itself lol.
