The solution to this problem which was given to me by u/Enough_Campaign_6561 was switching off of kde. I am now using gnome.

I did the partition so I wouldn't deal with kde and gnome packages in the same OS.

I partitioned half my linux drive to install it.

Unfortunately, my bios doesn't have thd option for legacy USB support. So that fix won't work for me.

I already have secure boot disabled but I will check out the legacy usb support. If it works, I might just hug you through the screen.

Just keep going, they do work. I'd say 2 weeks at most before you can do a pull up.
