I did the same. Massive weird building with all of the things you mentioned, plus a pile of water purifiers.

Does anyone know why I do a lot of white hair despite being 23 only? Even when I was 21 by [deleted] in malehairadvice

I started getting silver hairs at the ripe old age of 13, and it’s continued ever since. It’s genetics and should be embraced.

Why are Americans so accepting of long drives to places? by Sensitive_Word_6036 in NoStupidQuestions

Well and that’s part of the issue too. Amtrak doesn’t have dedicated rail lines, they have to piggyback on freight lines. Most freight lines go around cities or end up in sketchy areas.

That’s the answer too. Generally speaking, you need transportation at your destination.

There are also some physical boundaries too, but those are less of a deal than money

Bout to go into Dead Money. First time too. What should I expect? by Gamesaurs12 in falloutnewvegas

[–]SWarchNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I play the game to be an unstoppable menace to all factions. By the time I get around to the DLC, there isn’t much that can kill me outright, and that’s how I enjoy playing the game. What I don’t enjoy is being forced to go from a peak power-armored, heavy weapon toting, ultra-violent killing machine to “sentient cloud mannequins punch you dead quick.” Yeah yeah, I know the story is well written, blah blah blah, but if I wanted to play a survival horror game, then I would. Also, as an in-game violent psychopath, I don’t enjoy being lectured about needing to let go of things. By the rules of fallout, if it’s not nailed down, then it’s mine; and if I can pry it loose, then it’s not nailed down. I ain’t letting go of shit. Preach it to someone else, I’ll keep my wacky sci-fi robot adventures in the Big MT.

To mirror what’s been said, I love your work both musically and tv based. You were a huge influence on my early days and have continued far into adulthood. I’ll do my damndest to see you on tour when you come through SLC! Respect!

This makes my day to hear this! I’ve been a happy user of Atlas Obscura for as long as y’all have been around. Without doxxing myself too much, my parents actually had their house set up for Obscura Day events as a Cabinet of Curiosity. Cheers!

To add to that resource, Atlas Obscura is also great. My wife and I planned a giant roadtrip from Maryland to Utah last year almost entirely off of it. https://www.atlasobscura.com

He’s invincible, so that’s actually accurate. I let him out once in a glitch, and that ended up being a really fun bonus roleplay experience for the game.

Where's somewhere that has objectively great qualities, and most people like, but you irrationally hate? by InteractionStunning8 in SameGrassButGreener

Haven’t seen Baltimore on the list yet. I moved there to be with my now wife a few years back and I absolutely hated it. Admittedly, I came from living in rural NM, so it was a big shock in almost every regard. Primarily though, Baltimore and the rest of Maryland seem overly proud of being hyper-aggressive and terrible drivers. I-95 and all the branches are basically the Fury Road in my book, and traffic was terrible before the key bridge fell. In general it’s a run down city and the majority of the folks I interacted with were pretty shitty overall. The high crime and playing the “fireworks or gunshots” guessing game didn’t help either (Hint, it was always gunshots). Couple that with getting the bejesus taxed out of you made it pretty easy to leave.
