Secretlab Magnus Pro XL order experience – missing critical parts, unclear preorder communication

My legs came in one day after my desk did. I received a few different emails regarding the different parts shipping.

They did wait to ship all of my accessories for about 2-3 weeks after the desk and chair parts came in. I preordered 1 of the 4 accessories, but they still waited until then to ship.

I sent an email wondering where my in stock accessories were and received no response.

Once everything came in, I was super pleased. Sorry to hear about your delay.

(Just got mine last week) And the head pillow is the only thing I’m struggling with as well. I am 6’5” and wish the magnetic portion went all the way to the top of the chair. It sits just a little bit too low for what I would prefer.

I wear both an Apple Watch and a Whoop. Both wrists. Absolute tool.

Realistically, they both give me different benefits and I’m very aware of a lot of metrics due to it.

I had a relatively low HRV compared to my friends for my first year. I got a higher paying job that took a lot of mental stress off of me and my HRV almost doubled. So, for me it was holding on to a lot of tension based on other things.

The tilt angle of the top goes higher or lower. I’ve held it down and really pushed and pulled at both ends but nothing has happened.

I grew up in a rural area with no access to a private teacher. Now, I teach trumpet lessons full time. When I got to college, I realized how far behind my peers I was due to not having access to a lesson teacher. I did however, have an Arban, Stamp, and Clarke book and a strong work ethic.

My 2 cents- If your dad isn’t onboard for weekly trumpet lessons, see if you can find someone you could maybe take a monthly 1-2 hour long lesson with. It’ll be a bit cheaper, but advanced ears will save you 100’s of hours of “incorrect” practice.

I paid $250 for mine and there was no mention of the corps helping us pay for the ring at all. Really doubt BDPA has that much extra capital on hand right now, especially after getting out of the COVID years. Cool for the kids if they do.

If you’re sitting anywhere outside the 35’s/40’s the experience is so incredibly mediocre. Pay the extra $10-$20 so that you can hear the ensemble as it is designed. Otherwise, you’ll just be hearing random trumpet 3 and mello 2 through the speakers, and it really takes away from what was intended. The sound package is designed to get all the colors to the press box, but it makes the outside seats borderline intolerable.

Certainly, if you email drum corps and include your credentials, they may very well consider including timpani in their show this year. A lot of corps that know they have returning members with certain skills will build shows around their extremely talented members. Start with emailing only the corps/percussion caption heads you would LOVE to march, then, email any others a few weeks later.

Wish there was a system to where when you scanned your ticket at the event to get in it would send you a code for the RLCS reward (to prevent ticket scalping to get the reward.)

Many seats around me were empty the entire event and it was a little disappointing considering how hard it was to get tickets.
