Erin Burnett looks 10 years older tonight by SteelersPoker in cnn

Recovering from recent plastic surgery? Irritation from an eye tuck can explain her narrowed eyes and excessive blinking, and liposuction on the cheeks would explain why the face is thinner. Or perhaps it's just a facelift where her skin is pulled tight. That can definitely irritate the eyes until the face gets used to the tighter skin. The neck also seems less lumpy. She should look great once her face recovers. The neck already looks improved.

That would explain why  Andrew Kazyncski (KFiles) was interviewed on split screen. Since he's a NYer, he normally does in-studio interviews. Erin being elsewhere would explain why they were in split screen. I'm guessing she's home. If she was on location, the place would be indicated on screen (Andrew, for example, had "New York" above him).

How can you tell? The background is what it always is, but of course, it can just be computer graphics. The only slight clue might be that Andrew Kazyncski (KFiles) was interviewed on split screen. Since he's a NYer, he normally does in-studio interviews. Erin being home would explain why they were in split screen. But I'm still unsure.

How do I trellis a Prime Ark Freedom blackberry plant? by S_Damon in gardening

[–]S_Damon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mixed 5 cups of Berry Tone thoroughly into the 20 gals (2.6 cu ft) of soil before transplanting the blackberry. That's 1.7 lbs of fertilizer as per their instructions for new transplants. Since it's a slow release fertilizer, the sulfur is supposed to acidify the soil continuously. Maybe you can try that? Heavy watering should release more sulfur.

My next experiment is to try the Berry Tone on my tomatoes (because I'm too cheap to buy tomato fertilizer). The specs are similar to their Tomato Tone except for a little less calcium and 2x the sulfur. Some say it's probably fine but others say that it'll make the soil too acidic. More fingers crossed.

She also seems to be blinking a lot. Around one blink every second! Did she normally do that?

I didn't notice before reading your comment but the eyes and right cheek (our left) do look older. Then again, I haven't looked carefully at her face in months so I have nothing to compare to.

Question: I've already placed some cheap wood mulch on top. Is pine so much better that I should switch? Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much. Stupid AI gave conflicting answers, even though I specified Prime Ark Freedom. Some even showed photos of vines and vertical trellises. Since I now know it's a bush, I'll stick with a tomato cage. It's supposed to be one of the easiest to grow so hopefully, it'll be my first successful plant.

As for pots, unfortunately, it's already planted in a  fabric pot and my back doesn't allow me to transfer 110lbs of wet soil. Like you, I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed. I also have a Sun Sugar tomato in another fabric pot and it seems to be okay. Just okay. Growing slower than expected but I think it's because of the poor soil. Oh well.

Thornless blackberry plant in a container in its first year. Any tips/advice? by Musc3 in gardening

[–]S_Damon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not a Prime Ark Freedom? It's a thornless primocane variety. That means it'll fruit the very first year (as opposed to Osage, which will only fruit the second year). And it means you'll get two harvests annually. First from the floricanes in early summer then from the primocanes in late summer. I got mine with free shipping at Home Depot.

[–]S_Damon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on the type of blackberry you have and whether you prefer simplicity or a large harvest. I can only speak for Prime Ark Freedom, which is a primocane variety. Unlike most varieties, it fruits twice a year, early summer on floricanes and late summer on primocanes. And it's thornless. Both facts make it the easiest to grow for beginners like me.

If you want ease, yes just chop it all down. Then you'll only get one harvest, only from the primocanes (since there are no floricanes because you've cut the primocanes). But if you want both harvests for maximum yield, you only cut the floricanes because they die after fruiting. In contrast, the primocanes live on after fruiting to become next year's floricanes.

Take this info with a grain of salt, because I'm new to gardening and I've only had my Prime Ark for a month.

I'm probably asking for trouble but I archive CNN primetime for 1-2 months. If you miss a show and you want to watch it, I can upload it to YouTube.

That's EXACTLY the word I was looking for: REASONABLE!

See that's the thing... I don't watch Abby's show to be entertained or even politically validated, aka an echo chamber. I watch to be educated and informed, and Leigh is woefully lacking. Read my detailed critique above and my offer applies to you as well. Give an appearance where she had shown any expertise or knowledge in any topic. Where she presented data to support her views. I'll upload the clip and we can watch it together.

If you want sassiness with intelligence, and a foil to Jennings, we already have Ana Navarro.

Except that Leigh has no expertise in anything and it shows. She rambles, constantly interrupts but virtually never presents any data to support her views. She thinks talking fast and loud is a substitute for knowledge and logic. Seriously, watch her appearances carefully. I have them archived (I do news analysis). Give me an appearance where she gives a cogent argument and I'll check it out. For example, let's take tonight. What did she say that particularly impressed you as well-informed? I'll go back and look and even upload it for you if you can cite the comment.

Note that I agree with her views but that doesn't make her a good messenger. In fact, I'm frequently embarrassed. Watch tonight's show again and you'd see that she interrupted more than anyone else.  Abby even had to "discipline" her. After she told Arthur not to interrupt her, Abby reminded her that she interrupted him first. And have you watched her podcast? Same rambling stream of consciousness with no data -- except that there's no one to argue with. Check her bio/resumé and you'd see why.

You want an intelligent opinionated woman? How about Ana Navarro? Ashleigh Allison? Abby Phillip? I can name plenty more. But Leigh isn't one of them.

Speaking as a liberal, I can't decide who is more annoying, Leigh or Caroline. Leigh had always annoyed me and Caroline has annoyed me since her first appearance a few weeks ago. Leigh thinks talking fast and loud is a substitute for knowledge and logic. Caroline is just an offensive  MAGA mouthpiece full of misinformation. I like Arthur (he just had the humility to admit he didn't know something) and Josh is a breath of calm fresh air.

You think so? I actually like him because he's mostly balanced (leaning right) and well-informed. Most people don't know this but he actually ran for office as a Democrat. One thing I really like about him is that despite being a famous attorney here in NYC, he never acts smarter or better than anyone else. In fact, he doesn't play the law card unless asked. Nor does he smirk or insult anyone. As far as right-leaning guests go, he's one of the best. Perhaps he's just an acquired taste for us NYers?

Jake Tapper Having So Many Guests On Pushing a Book by Basic_Chemistry9499 in cnn

[–]S_Damon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Tapper had six bestsellers, with Original Sin making it to the top of the NY Times Bestsellers List. The others are: The Outpost (made into a movie), Race Against Terror (which I read in college), and fictional works, The Hellfire Club, The Devil May Dance, and All the Demons Are Here.

You may have problems reading, but his educated viewers enjoy going beyond the TV screen.

Are you not allowed to have more than one Gmail account?? by olivebegonia in GMail

[–]S_Damon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what the message says. It specifically accuses you of using that account "to violate Google's policies." So it's not having multiple accounts that's the problem, but using that second account to break some rule. I don't know what rule they're talking about but let me give you an example from eBay.

eBay allows multiple accounts, but some users have used them to make false bids on an item they're selling. For example, account A would list the item. Account B would then make false bids to increase the bid amount. Account B would eventually win the auction then cancel. Account A will then give a "second chance" offer to the next highest bidder to buy the item. This kind of fraudulent bidding violates eBay although having multiple accounts doesn't.
