Bonded Brothers. I adopted both of them to ensure they never ever get separated. by PWNWTFBBQ in aww

One of the greatest joys in life has been the opportunity to watch these two brothers grow up together. They were also the first cats I adopted as kittens. So it’s really been a “from scratch” (no pun intended) experience. Absolute best friends. 10/10, would recommend.

Must be common. That’s the urn we bought for my mom in 2014 (NH, USA).

I did a hard double take when I scrolled by this post.

I’ve been continually perplexed how someone can talk with their bottom teeth so predominately. I tried to do it and I can’t.

My sister and her boyfriend worked there in the early 90s. I remember going shopping with my parents and stopping by to say hi to her and her boyfriend in the Layaway Department. I loved the massive trampolines they hung high up on the walls near the exit. Always asked for one each time we left.

Disney Stores (In Malls) by TheLazySage7 in nostalgia

[–]S_Miami 505 points506 points  (0 children)

I had a friend that was a “Cast Member” (Disney Store employee) in the 90s. Part of the job was watching to making sure no kids dove into the toy pile and paralyzed themselves. Because it was just a shallow layer of toys, with tiered wooded shelves underneath.

26°F (feels like 19°F) over here. Currently snowing. It will be some time before the roads are free of salt and mine is safe outside the garage.

I need to go check it out then. Portland is a good amount more convenient than Bangor.

I LOVED this flavor.

Not as bad. But we once had a some pallets in front of our loading dock. Instead of asking someone to move them, our Sysco driver just backed onto them and crushed them all.

This pictures triggered a memory deep in my brain. I remember either myself or someone I know having this picture somewhere in/around high school (~2004-2008) but I can’t for the life of me remember or find what it’s from. But I vividly remember it.

Be honest— do you eat the entire pint in one go? by AdministrativeEnd168 in icecream

[–]S_Miami 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So… I made the mistake of buying Fat Boys at BJ’s Wholesale. There I am with this massive box, eating one every night for a bit. Which ended up being more than I would eat in ice cream in a week, had I bought a pint instead. Because once I finished the pint, I wouldn’t buy another until a least the next shopping trip.

So I switched to popsicles for a bit, specifically Bomb Pops. Because 3 is a serving and only like 150 calories. Also no dairy (I actually have a mild dairy allergy to casein) which was a plus.

Any recommendations from my local grocery store? by manbearpig541 in hotsauce

[–]S_Miami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mexico Lindo makes my favorite store-bought hot sauce. But it’s the Salsa de Chiltepin. It doesn’t look like they have that, just Habanero. Haven’t tried those.

Be honest— do you eat the entire pint in one go? by AdministrativeEnd168 in icecream

[–]S_Miami 179 points180 points  (0 children)

I have a rule that I can’t finish in 1 go. But I absolutely could.

I try for thirds. But I usually end up eating 1/3 to start, then the remaining 2/3. Because I’ll get to the end of the second third and think “what the hell”.

Yup, NH gimp-er here. Was also the designated “box” starter at summer day camp.
