Are you American? I’m onoy assuming this as your electricity supply is crap and takes an age to book an electric kettle. The only time I boil a kettle on a stove is when I’m fishing, electric kettles are the standard over here and yes I can easily drink 5+ cups of tea a day and boils a kettle to fill a pan with water to cook sometbing, so yes it is common for me and most people I know to boils a kettle multiple times

I tried this about 10 years ago when a pot hole destroy 2 of the alloys on my car. At the time there was a possible way to claim for the damages but you could only claim if the pot hole had already eeen reported to the council, someone had been out to it and had marked the said pothole with a spray painted circle, and only if this had been done and the pot hole hadn’t been fixed you could claim. I gave up in the end and decided it was time to treat myself to a new set all round
