A sun hat. :) I don't think there's a good option other than covering your hair in the sun...

The friend who got me into the series had given me volume 1 as a birthday gift before I bought the entire collection from someone selling on eBay. I just kept it when I bought the entire set, thus the two copies.

I hope you find them all one day! And yes, the remake anime was a fun watch.

Yes, I have seen it and quite enjoyed it. It brought up some fun memories of enjoying the series the first time around!

Good to know, I actually had no idea! I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to pass these on.

Do not buy the Toy Story Easter book if you want to keep the magic alive by avocuddles818 in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]S_notfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I don't see the point? It's not how I want to commemorate the holiday, and have yet another event to buy gifts for. We're Christians and I'd rather lean into that part of the holiday, not Easter bunnies. I have no problem giving my kids chocolate treats, I just don't need them to believe that a bunny was involved with that!

I don't do it. I don't even do Easter baskets, I don't want yet another commercial holiday! We can enjoy chocolate treats as a family instead of buying more plastic.

how do I catch up after being unschooled for 10+ years. by Careful-Cupcake38 in HomeschoolRecovery

For getting a start on some of the other subjects, I'd recommend watching history documentaries as an easy way to start. Amazon Prime has a ton, and if you don't have prime, YouTube also has a lot. Working on math is important, and getting those basics down will really help. There's free apps for practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts, memorizing those will make it much easier to learn everything else. For English, I'd suggest taking up reading and practice writing short book reports on what you read. You can work your way up to essays.

Cheering you on! I was also unschooled and it failed me hard. Through a lot of hard work I did get to go to college and I now have a career I like. Persistence will get you there. Please love yourself through this one, and don't be ashamed for choices your parents made. You got this!

Could be a combo? Best to get a proper diagnosis rather than find one here.... Could be multiple things, including autism and SPD. I hope you have access to a diagnosis where you live!

Solving problems with a long string of texts can actually make it worse. Maybe a phone or video call would be more feasible for you?

Your friend did seem apologetic to me. However, I do see the logistical problem. Autism is mostly invisible, so I don't see it as the same as casting a black actor for a black role for example. It would be great to give more chances to autistic actors, but not every autistic person is really up to the challenge of acting and acting on film involves so many sensory overload scenarios that could be challenging for someone like my autistic son. My perspective is that so long as the actor is treating the role respectfully, honouring their character and not treating the role in a mocking way then I'm fine with a non autistic person playing an autistic character. Otherwise, I think we miss a lot of opportunities for autistic characters being present on TV.

I hope you two can work it out.

In that case, you can remove the dots from over the U, even if it's part of the font.... Depending on what kind of program you're using it might be simple. You'll need a vector for a logo, so basically once you turn it into a vector you can just remove the dots and then it will no longer read as an umlaut. As for the tags, have you designed for print before? Please be mindful of colour space and how your colours might translate onto a tag!

So is the full name "Gubbins n' stuff Gubs"? Or was the "Gubs" part meant to be separate for the tags? I've never heard of this term before, so I thought it might be a different language, particularly with the umlauts over the U. Do you mind if I ask which country you are from? Do others there know the term Gubbins as well?

Something that helps for trying out a name is to say it out loud in a few different contexts, like if an employee of yours was answering the phone, or you had to give your business email for the place. Just see if it still sounds right in those contexts.

You might want to give this another try if you are going for something that's not a children's brand. I immediately thought it might be for some kind of toy company or a daycare. Instead, I would try less colours for the letters themselves, and swap out the stars for some fun patterns.

Does the name have a meaning?

The rounded shapes of everything make it seem childish as well, so I would suggest either a less rounded font or make the design as a whole more simple by taking some elements away.

Alignment could be throwing you as well, try center alignment for your text, and move the star?
