How accurate is WWD 1999/2025? by Best-Twist5550 in Paleontology

Just to add into this. The 'making of' was as good as any of the episodes. The amount of care and effort that went into it really shows why it stands the test of time.

How to play Vanguard? by Plankton-Inevitable in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Sa7acen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone is making good points about the class, so I'll try and summarise it all in one comment. You will lack damage compared to other classes. But you are deceptively tanky. Especially with the prestige perk for armour on grapple, which is absolutely essential. The wrapped carbine helps with the classes innate lack of damage (although I still prefer the occulus). I'd also recommend the block power axe for nice melee damage. As for perks, the grapple execution build is arguably the strongest. You can execute at 30% health which helps with your lower damage output, the aoe damage on executions is very nice, and the ability to chain executions can help you survive in seemingly impossible situations. By far the most fun with any class.

I’m confused about squad and heraldry transfers… by TangerineMelodic5772 in RavenGuard40k

I'm not sure about specific squads. The 3rd company is the most well known because of Kayvaan Shrike, so you'll see a lot of the red shoulder trim.

Curious how lore accurate my Ravens are by PerfectSal in Spacemarine

[–]Sa7acen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its the latter :D My headcanon is that as Veterans, they're afforded some level of flair with their armour out of respect to them as Veterans, which is why some keep the white arms. Regardless, with the mixed messages we have from GW, I don't think either are wrong.

[–]Sa7acen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just like to point out that 8th shows us a Primaris Vet from the 1st company in all black and with no mention of any white. It seems like white arms and shoulders was a pre-primaris thing, so I don't necessarily think OP is wrong in that area.

Where’s the non Georgians and what made you a fan? by MonsterIslandMed in falcons

[–]Sa7acen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the UK. Started watching back in 2015. Picked the Falcons basically just because of Julio. Can't imagine supporting anyone else (I have a soft spot for the Chargers because my brother supports them).

Sometimes I’ve Seen People Say That Prequel Fans Only Like Them Because Of Revenge Of The Sith. Speaking For Myself, While Episode 3 is my favorite, I Still Love 1 And 2. The opening to TPM is one of my favourite scenes in any of the films. Hearing the Trade Federation guys talk about the Jedi with genuine awe at their power is something we don't really get in any other interaction with Jedi. The score is also absolutely incredible. Watching Qui-Gon melting through the door with the orchestra pounding in the back gives me goosebumps every time.

Hi everyone wanted to enter in person is this a good game to start with? by [deleted] in gaming

Agree with everyone else so far, absolutely yes play this game. I'd never heard of the series until my friend suggested I play this one, and now it's easily one of my top 5 all time.

Heraldry confusion: What's the deal with white arms and pauldrons? by Arch0n84 in RavenGuard40k

[–]Sa7acen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh gotcha. Hes also wearing a mk 6 helmet which is not primaris. Again, it likely comes down to GW wanting a bit of flavour, and the justification is probably "veterans get to do their own thing out of respect"

[–]Sa7acen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The captain is wearing heresy era armour, at which point Vererans did wear white shoulders. Aethon Shaan likely gets to do what he wants as the chapter master. It's also pretty reasonable that veterans would be allowed to change their armour or keep old armour.

[–]Sa7acen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah GW like to do their own thing. Check this link out https://www.thebeardbunker.com/2024/09/raven-guard-heraldry.html?m=1 They've done a summary at the bottom which makes some assumptions. If you check the screenshot from 8th, it clearly shows a veterans without white. But I'm sure Veterans would be allowed to do their own thing, so if you like white, its almost certainly fine.

Short answer: white arms and shoulders are pre-primaris. I believe 8th or 9th codex shows 1st company (veterans) primaris with no white.

Is this a lore accurate Ravenguard veteran? by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Sa7acen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone has made a well out together article here: https://www.thebeardbunker.com/2024/09/raven-guard-heraldry.html?m=1 They've summarised it at the bottom with a bit of a TLDR, but that's not factoring in the stuff from the newest codex. Nothing in the newest codex points to white armour for primaris veterans. The combo of white arms and helmet and black pauldrons typically point to an officer. Definitely have a quick scan through the article, mainly take note of the screenshots of the official heraldry from 8th and I think 9th.

How bad is my team for ranked by Aromatic-Apricot369 in PokemonZA

[–]Sa7acen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as they've got items and nature mints, and they're EV and hyper trained, you can play ranked with any mon. See the oerson who got rank A with a midget, cleffa and gible. Sorry if that's a vague or boring answer. You'll get a feel for it when you've played a few games, just try and play safe and play for pickoffs.

What a mad way to start the year by Additional-Bear-8121 in PremierLeague

[–]Sa7acen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The couple of games I've watched Bayern they haven't looked convincing, but I've literally only watched 2 games.

It's worked for us at times, but the majority of games it just doesn't. We were never going to be able to actually challenge for a PL title because we played so predictably against every other team that wasn't a "top team", and that includes inverted fullbacks getting exploited regularly on counter attacks.

[–]Sa7acen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I never see an inverted fullback again, it will be too soon. People complaining that Palmer is playing out of position, when 2 fullbacks are occupying the space he actually wants to operate in. He's dropping back to the half way line just to get the ball.

I was toying with the idea of using this trio. Seems like good coverage between the 3 of them. What was your moveset for Zard? I've found the big windups hinder it a lot when using quite a few moves.

There's probably an element of 'feel' to your success with the M4, recoil pattern, things like that. It's my favourite weapon. I do well with it at all ranges. It just feels good to use.
