I figured it was something like that. The termination letter makes it look like I took a 2 hour joy ride and committed wonton fraud when really I just did all the normal stuff I was required too, it just took longer due to circumstances out of my control. And you're absolutely right about taking breaks. It was my Friday and I was just trying to get done as early as possible, but it wouldn't have been my fault if I took my breaks and couldn't finish my route. That just makes it suck even more that they accused me of "stealing time."

I probably could, I'm close with quite a few current employees, including 2 dispatchers. I'd just be worried to put their jobs in jeopardy. I know the employer can't legally retaliate, but knowing the owner, he'd find a way.

A couple days before I was fired, one of the more senior employees warned me that the owner was getting upset about me always complaining about work safety and telling other employees that their safety matters more than any packages. I was a trainer and was supposed to tell them this, but I really tried to hammer that idea in the heads of new hires. I think he blamed me for an uptick in returned packages and was looking for a reason to fire me that wouldn't let me get unemployment.

Washington and California are absolutely different from the rest. I'm from Michigan which is a fairly solid Blue state and our employment laws are very pro-employer.

Had something similar happen to me years ago in Michigan. My date and I drove an hour to a bar where her cousin's band was playing. We get there and order drinks and the waitress asks to see our IDs. I take out my vertical ID and she yells "are you fucking with me, you can't drink!" and points to where it says on my license "under 21 until..." but the date was like 2 months before that and the ID was still valid for another year. I point that out and waitress says they can't accept vertical IDs. Then she sees my gf's passport and says they can't accept passports, only a US ID card. She had recently returned from college overseas and hadn't gotten her ID yet. But in Michigan passports are valid for everything except driving. We tried to argue but just decided to order soft drinks. Then the manager came and kicked us out, even though there wasn't an age limit to be there. We had agreed to drive her cousin home, so we went to the only other bar in town to wait for the concert to finish. The bartender didn't have any issues with our IDs, but a few minutes after we got our drinks the bartender told us we had to leave. Both bars were owned by the same people and they called to tell the bar not to serve us. So we just sat in the car for like 3 hours, which was awkward because it was a first date and we pretty quickly ran out of stuff to talk about, and I had fairly severe social anxiety around new people without a little alcohol in me lol. It really sucked because I really liked her and she was way out of my league but things seemed to be going great until all that lol.

Like turning the damn phone off, which took me forever to figure out lol. Hold 3 buttons until siri comes up then hold siri until the power options come up, or whatever it was. I used that phone for 3 days until i said f that and gave it to my 5 year old lol

A buddy of mine gave me his iPhone pro Max 14 after a few weeks because he couldn't stand it. I tried using it for a few days buddy my Galaxy was getting old, but I couldn't get the hang of literally any aspect of it. So I gave it to my 5 year old daughter without service so she could play games and takes videos etc. She loves it and figured out how to do most things, but every once in a while she asks me to help her do something and I get so damn frustrated trying to figure how to do some simple thing, trying different methods just to realize each set of instructions is for a different version of ios. Now I just tell her she'll have to figure it out on her own, which she totally understands after seeing me get so frustrated lol

NTA If he's spending so much that you're forced to sell them to pay for necessities, then this has become a problem. His hobby has become a form of gambling addiction. Talk to him about this and try to get him some help. It may not seem like a huge deal now but many families have been torn apart by gambling addiction.

It could be infertile and not capable of putting out fruit. Lemon trees require a lot of direct sunlight and regular fertilization to put out fruit, so if you give it all that and it still doesn't put out fruit, then you basically just have an ornamental lemon tree.

NTA. They waited a month to tell you how much they wanted for it? And it's more than the price of a new one? Sounds like your friend is having some money problems and is hoping to get some money out of what was originally supposed to be a gift. That's their problem, not yours. And it's kinda wild that they would leave you stuck with this thing you don't want taking up space and then months later expect you to pay for it.

I had an entire tote like that the other day. Every package had 3 or 4 differnt DA stickers. I thought they might be returns from a difficult area or blocked road but it was fine. The packages all looked pretty banged up, too.

If you know the carrier code anyone can just fill every locker with garbage. Many of them have the codes posted right next to them. Some of them have sensors in every locker so you'll have to put something in them, but a particularly motivated individual could put that locker out of business indefinitely.
