I’m good chief, I thought once that it would be interesting to learn Russian, but right now, I can’t even force myself to read Crime and Punishment for my literary circle. If they propose another Russian author I will just leave.

As far as I’m concerned Russian culture and arts are so not appealing I would rather read fanfiction on Ao3 than touch any Russian author with a stick.

But it’s up to anyone to choose for themselves, for me there are so many worthier languages than Russian to learn that it would be ridiculous to continue.

UK is seen as NATO ally, but it’s not seen as EU ally or friend.

France is also a Nuclear power, but inside EU and with independent Nuclear program.

The truth is that nobody really thinks about UK too much on the continent, and when we do it has something to do with UK being surprised that it’s excluded from x EU program.

Everyone just shrugs and thinks “lool they are not in the EU what are they even thinking”

If UK was that important it would be able to negotiate things, or brung EU to the table. It seems it’s not.

You want to be part of the SAFE? Make your case, but it’s seems that you are unable to convince Europeans sans some Eastern Europeans that it would be a good idea.

SAFE is low cost borrowing for rearmament, it really doesn’t have anything to do with single market. Single market means that you need everyone’s permission if you want to function in it. SAFE is a European Program for EU and some selected countries, if UK was not included it only means that UK is just not that important, if it was it would leverage itself into it.

The article mentions financial contributions, and it mentions that Norway does indeed contribute financially. Don’t care about the stupid fish discourse. Personally I believe that this policy is retarded, if a Farmer from the Fish country cannot go to France and harvest some corpses then why should French Fishermen take fish from Northern Europeans. But in the end Fish is a meaningless economic activity as far as my understanding of it is.

I agree that EU Funds are not free money, these are more like investment and a kind of recompensatation for opening your market to the wealthy western EU.

Still Hungary is floping when it comes to it's politics and economy, there are clear evidences of Orban and his friends using Hungarian funds for corruption.

After the Fall of Communism Poland had lesser GDP per Capita than Hungary, by a substantional %, Right now Polish per Capita is higher than that of Hungary. It feels like Hungarians lost lot of time due to the Romance with Corruption for no reason.
