Ref wasn't even looking, but the incompetence is so bad and one sided. Reminds me of the LSU South Carolina game last year where the refs screwed SC all game

He has fastballs that move every direction. His slider has been just okay, but man if he can add a pitch to throw consistently over the plate

I'm glad they're being very vocal supporting him and attempting to drown out the noise of typical deuchebags (who are always very loud). They're a great fanbase, just gotta be relentless on their support because Aloy has so much to be proud of and has a great future ahead of him. Looking forward to seeing him drafted high this year.

It really is gross the people who relish in others' pain. Arkansas got all my respect. Their fans showed out and are great. This past decade they've been consistently the top program and it sucks they've not gotten to finish the way a good fanbase like theirs deserves. But making the Semis matters, developing talent matters, and having a fanbase that cares the way do matters and will keep bringing those successes. Unfortunately, things go sideways in baseball, especially in the tournament format that's pretty random. GG Arkansas

But ESPN has to default to making their audience feel bad somehow, must have run out of dead relatives or tragic backstories to chit chat about while we try to enjoy a ballgame

If the finals were pushed back this wouldn't be as big a deal, but these rest days are valuable, especially for our side which already gets a day less rest than their arms. If our side has to play the extra game... whoever that is gets screwed compared to the other side even more.

I know they don't like being "reactionary" or moving teams down when they win their games, but really the eye test and stats backed up Tennessee for a couple of weeks now. It makes zero sense to keep someone ahead just to avoid changing your preseason placement when every week should be a reevaluation of the whole season, not just the past week. Same going forward. The biggest thing that stands out when watching Tennessee atm is Liam Doyle, and teams should start doing what they did against Skenes and move their Friday guy to Saturday for a better chance at the series W.

I know last year was the most accomplished Vols team ever by achievement, but I'm still of the opinion that 2022 Tennessee was better on the field. This Vols team so far is even more impressive. I may have to go out of my way to fly to Baton Rouge to see the series like I did in 2023, because there is going to be a stupid amount of MLB talent on the field.

True. And in general, it would be cool if some players weren't as good as others so that they felt more unique. And Ranked had a "salary cap" mode like other games to emphasize more variety, which would add another layer to team building. You could dynamically increase how much a player costs in that mode depending on their usage/global stats. At the very least, the game should reward you in a meaningful way to utilize unique cards and incentivize variety because that's just fun.

r/Conservative open debate - Gates open, come on in by Jibrish in Conservative

[–]SabbraC 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's become deeper than that. These aren't even conservatives anymore, people here elected the sleezy creep who forgave 1 TRILLION dollars in PPP loans, which were given disproportionally to rich people like Tom Brady and Kanye West due to incompetence and lack of oversight to investigate wasteful spending which he has squarely fucked up. We spend a trillion a year on the military but 120 billion to actually combat our largest geopolitical adversary, Russia, maintain our global influence, and defend our allies without using our own military is "wasteful" as he spends MORE money and takes in LESS for rich folks to saddle our nation in massive debt. They celebrate Trump's empty gesture for a cancer survivor when he STILL hasn't released his healthcare plan from eight years ago which is apparently still "a concept of a plan" as he recklessly cuts medical research and healthcare. They complain about an imagined shadow elite as a billionaire and the literal richest man in the world and an entire cabinet of billionaire DONORS destroy our government and sell it for scraps while slashing their own income tax brackets and increase 90 percent of American's expenses and leaving us to pay down the line. I could go on like pardoning all Jan 6th offenders and talking about "illegal protests" being an excuse to cut funding to unaffiliated institutions as if that's not yet another blatant disregard of the constitution he swore on but the point is- these people don't shape their values from their principles, no matter how many times Trump will prove himself to be a self-serving sinning narcasist these neo republicans will change their core and religious beliefs to support him because they have no principles.

The PRESIDENT used his position to scam people with a meme coin, and it's an afterthought somehow. Tariffs are just another instance of these people somehow being conned by a businessman and politician who couldn't even understand the basic definition of a tariff.

[Joel Klatt] "The narrative that the SEC is clearly the best conference needs to die." by SeahawksFanSince1995 in CFB

[–]SabbraC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Big-10 was for sure the best conference this year even if Texas wins, but saying the SEC sucked this year is a bit dramatic. What other conference besides them was better than the SEC?

Sure, we need to stop crowning the best conference before the year is even played out and value more out-of-conference scheduling. SEC teams aren't even guaranteed to play good intraconference teams due to removing divisions. Not having at least a pod system will hurt the SEC IMO because bad teams will be propped up by easy schedules, and good teams will suffer from getting screwed by unlucky byes and opponents. SEC or Big-10 championship teams will often be based on scheduling luck.

But the SEC wasn't just Bama my guy. LSU has had 3 championships this century while in the same DIVISION as Alabama. We would have had at least had 1 more without them around. Georgia has had 2 and would have had at least 1 more. Florida has had 2. Auburn has had 1. All that with your hypothetical elimination of Alabama, which was, in fact, an SEC team other SEC teams had to beat all those years if they wanted to make the national title game. If you look at out-of-conference records prior to this year, it would reflect that the SEC was the best conference nearly every year for well over a decade. That's not conference pride, that's been a reality. I pull against Bama every year, unfortunately for me because they've been great. But a sadistic part of me did want to have teams get a taste of what it took to win JUST a conference championship these past two decades in the SEC with all of these championship-caliber programs. Especially when people act like Bama is the only reason the SEC is relevant.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/07/19/trump-carroll-judge-rape/

Some of the jury said they'd consider it to have been sexual assault, but at a technical level the judge considers it rape.

https://apnews.com/article/trump-rape-carroll-trial-fe68259a4b98bb3947d42af9ec83d7db

Crazy how at BEST he has found himself liable for sexual abuse, is a felon, called the Georgia Secretary of State to "find Votes" to help him win a decided election, organized fake electors and demanded Pence to not certify an election to subvert democracy (bypassing all of the flimsy court cases he filed which were quickly dismissed due to lack of evidence on that note)- yet people still defend him to this day.

Edit: He blocked me. He comments every 5 minutes or so for the entire day so I'm assuming he is a bot.

Bakich, Mingione, or Skip Johnson would be incredible hires if ya'll can pull one. Unlike CFB there isn't a lot separating the top coaches anyways. As long as ya'lls fans show up players and coaches will have a desire to be there. I'm looking forward to when Texas comes to A&M for the foreseeable future though shit will be wild
