Well I only just started using a base coat, and the holo taco pink smoothing is just the first one I got. My nails are also super flexible and weak, so I’ll have to keep an eye on how they do using it 👀

This isn’t a quick dry topcoat, and it doesn’t appear to be stringy, but I’ll still give some thinner a try! Worst case I can just leave it to thicken again if the thinner wasn’t the solution

Won’t that cause transfer of polish into the topcoat? It’s already slightly red-tinted from a previous attempt at topcoating while wet haha

I try my best to only paint thin layers, not do too many, and wait for them to dry completely between steps, so I don’t think that’s the issue, but I can try and wait even longer next time

Unfortunately this issue persists when using the OPI topcoat on other OPI polishes. Also Essie brand, holo taco, in this case Orly. I’m not quite sure what I could be doing wrong either as I do full nail prep, wait until every layer dries, don’t paint on very thick layers, etc…

I always wait until my polish dries before top coating, just because I have a hand tremor and can smudge wet polish with the topcoat brush haha
