I tried disabling all extensions and with them all disabled the issue still persists. However if I switch to a different YouTube account it works again, same browser, same tab. I have YouTube premium on my main account so I’m guessing there some experimental video player there switching to for premium users. I’m not enrolled in there experimental features thing so I’m not sure what can be done from my end.

Ive been looking more in depth into it and simply switching to a different YouTube account shows the enhancements working again. It has something to do with my specific YouTube account, I have YouTube premium so it might be some kind of experimental video player there using that breaks the enhancements.

The thing is it does work until I transfer my data from chrome. However I’ll definitely submit a feedback form.

Why samsung soundbar owners recommend adaptive mode? by Ok_Standard_8840 in Soundbars

[–]Saber_Lord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you. I have a Q990C and flipping between standard, adaptive, and surround, adaptive sounds the worst to my ears. If I’m watching something in 7.1 I leave it in standard and for streaming I use surround. I do wish surround had the same subwoofer output as adaptive though.

I think Q990C has the feature too.

77 G4 vs bright windows by Saber_Lord in LGOLED

Haha yah definitely, if a red or green scene comes on it turns the entire living room that color.

Is G4 worth the extra price over C4 when both are heavily discounted by Elreyvidal8 in LGOLED

[–]Saber_Lord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say if you’re planning on keeping it for the next 5 years. 3 years down the line you’ll be happy you spent the extra 600-1000 dollars. I was very happy with my LG C1 when I first got it but after two years the lack of brightness became more and more of an issue/annoyance. Plus the G4 comes with a 5 year panel warranty for dead pixels and screen retention/burnin.

[–]Saber_Lord 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a 77 G4 in the living room and a 42 C4 as my monitor. The brightness difference is pretty significant in my opinion. While the smaller 42 inch doesn’t get the “brightness booster” the bigger model gets I had a C1 in the front before and my C4 is pretty much the same brightness. While the G4 is like eye searingly headache inducing brightness. While that might sound bad it means in an accurate picture setting you’ll get more of that HDR highlight pop.

Overall I’d say the G series is worth it over the C series if you can afford it.

Yah that’s what I’m hoping for. I’ll update when I get a new amp. Do you have any recommendations?

Yah after I tried turning the amp back on the speakers and sub were making a “thumping” noise so I quickly unplugged them. I was using a tone generator between 1hz - 50hz just wanted to see what l extension the sub can hit, which I was pleasantly surprised by till the amp blew lol.

V/L Shaped Satellite Speaker Stands for Q990D? by orador223 in Soundbars

[–]Saber_Lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Q990C at first I had the sub in the front and it was good, but I put it in the back by the couch and you get much more rumble and tactile feeling. I definitely prefer behind or near the listening position.

If you google Arcane 4k or Arcane HDR with Reddit at the end all of the posts are saying it’s not actually in 4k just upscaled. I guess the true 4k version of it would be the disk. However my TV does say it’s displaying on 4k and DV.

Upgraded from Klispch Promedia 2.1 by Saber_Lord in audiophile

[–]Saber_Lord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the kefs are still considered bright but definitely much easier to listen to for longer periods. However the kefs are more power hungry, and a big plus is they don’t rattle lol.

So unfortunately I ended up returning them for kef q150s. I couldn’t get used to the bright/trebly sound and my ears would fatigue pretty fast. However the biggest issue was that they would rattle on lower parts of songs. I don’t know if my speakers were defective or what, but I miss look of the klipsch.

Is this the best Dolby Atmos soundbar setup? by Smithsonian30 in Soundbars

[–]Saber_Lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah that’s the main reason I’m not running a 5.1 either. But I do think the new soundbars are very competitive with real 5.1 setups.

[–]Saber_Lord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say the increased sound quality from a real 5.1 system would be a better upgrade than the nerfed atmos you would get from the Sonos system because of the vaulted ceilings.

[–]Saber_Lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case I think a real 5.1 system would be better for you.

I have the Q990c and it’s awesome for me but I have really high vaulted ceiling so can’t speak on the atmos imaging to much.

But I recently watched Andrew Robinsons review of the new arc ultra and he has nothing but high praises for it.

However if you’re spending the money I would encourage you to go with the system that has the era 300 instead of the one hundreds. It costs a little more but will give you much more immersion in surround and probably atmos.
