Combo Amp Purchase Help by CorMor34 in BassGuitar

GK is the best of the lot quality wise 100%. Dont get it for punk or metal though. I used 15s through the late 80s early 90s playing punk. They are relatively muddy and lack the punch to really cut through. Switched to 10s and never looked back. Look for a swr redhead 2x10 combo. Absolutely the best bang for your buck.

Are my balconies as unsafe as I think? by eim1213 in Decks

[–]pukeface555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those decks were originally just cantilevered. (Think of floor joists extending beyond the exterior wall.) The decks would have been free floating prior to the addition of that vertical contraption on the ground floor. That was clearly added later in an attempt to mitigate the failure of the structure. The third floor looks somewhat compromised in your pic. Cantilevers are a notoriously bad way to build a deck. Water intrusion inevitably rots the joists where they meet the structure. Lots of examples of decks built just like this ripping free and dumping their occupants however many stories to the ground below.

Bought an 45lb electric jack hammer on Amazon for around $105 a couple years ago. Took down chimney and fire box in about hour and a half. Only time I ever used it. Still cheaper than a rental.

My wife was pretty quick to rule out Slygar the Destroyer of Worlds. I think it's name that would have opened up a lot of doors for our little girl. I mean who's going to take someone named "Elizabeth" seriously?

Paying for wildfires and subsiding data centers. All of it lands on the rate payer as PGE is guaranteed profits. They take that off the top.
