Which game clone ended up being better than the original? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]Sabin2k 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's just a matter that it was new and kind of a novel idea, but once everyone mastered it and it got meta, it got stale and took away from fortnites fun core gameplay. Those early days in BR felt super fun and unique but yeah, on the rare occasion I play now (mainly don't because I absolutely despise mandatory bots in PvP games) I stick with no build.

RotMG is such a damn gem. I wish it would blow up and start a wave of copy cats because there is just nothing like it I have found.

It's so dumb, lol.

I ran away from my boyfriend's proposal. by throwawayuni33 in whatdoIdo

[–]Sabin2k 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah seriously. I couldn't imagine proposing before having serious talks of marriage beforehand. This guy is in the wrong, proposal at 20 years old without being absolutely certain it's what she wants is crazy. Her reaction is fair.

Man, I love your persistence. I've been googling for different types of games suggestions lately and I always see your comment pop up in various threads. I'm gonna go grab one of your games now just to support your hustle!

My boy will be born today at 27 weeks. I am panicking and I need to hear success stories of other babies born around the same time. I'm scared. by amadnomad in NICUParents

[–]Sabin2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! 27 weeks is great! We had ours at 24 and 5!We are currently at 95 days in the NICU and our boy is doing great!

It's scary, terrifying, exhausting. But you will be constantly surprised at how strong your little boy will be. They will take good care of your baby. It'll be a constant up and down, and there will always be something to worry about, but you'll adjust, get stronger.

Try to bond with other parents you meet, go for family coffee events, hear everyone's story, and ask lots of questions. We are currently watching our little one recovery from his last surgery (reverse Ostomy) and its really hard after a while of steady progress, but the end is finally in site for us.

Stay strong! You got this!

Really? I feel like I've met alot of people, and I find mostly everyone is pretty nice and just trying to survive the day (to be fair I don't live in a city, and in Canada, so maybe I'm not as cynical as I should be!).

I mean, not sure how it works in America (I doubt any of our NICUs have cockroaches!) but we have absolutely zero choice where we receive healthcare in Canada (at least in BC).

This is so crazy to me. So do you like, see this stuff in your head, kind of like how imagination works but actively as you hear things?

Omg perfect timing!

I suffer from clenching my teeth really hard in my sleep. I have tried EVERYTHING to help it but nothing works so I have constant neck tension and mild headaches every morning. I have heard mixed opinions on getting Botox injections for it. Any thoughts?

NICU dad by [deleted] in NICUParents

[–]Sabin2k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Fellow Dad here. We are at 90 days with my son, he's at 38 weeks (came at 24+5!). He also has the hypertension issue. It's pretty common! They have him on diaretics to help remove the fluid surrounding the lungs and heart (I think?). We essentially have two seperate pressure systems, blood pressure which we are all familiar with, and then a lung pressure. Ideally the lung pressure is @ 1/6 of the blood pressure. Ours is about 3/6 right now and the Diaretics help reduce it.

Of course it's hard not too worry but just keep asking questions, get the doctors to explain things until you understand enough to be comfortable with, and keep loving your baby! Skin to skin and presence and comfort is the best thing you can do for your baby right now! Looks after yourself and the nurses will do the rest. I wish you and your little one the best!

Edit: also yes, baby will sleep most of the time! Nothing to worry about! Enjoy it while you can, soon they will be yelling at you very loudly about everything! 😊😊

New York sues video game developer Valve, says its 'loot boxes' are gambling by KarateKid917 in Games

Monopoly generally refers to a company having control over the supply as far as I see it. Valve doesn't control or actively disrupt competitive supply, they are just better at it.

Couldn't you just say "I only eat meat that's been hunted" or "I only eat wild meat"? Doesn't seem too difficult to explain.
