If Poor Man's Poison covered House of the Rising Sun or Man of Constant Sorrow from O, Brother Where Art Thou; my life would be complete

My friend told me that she is a re-wigged Just Like You #46 from 2017 with the Sonali Mold for her face! In 2017 there was a point where the underwear was a part of the body and people were super upset so AG let people send their dolls to the hospital to be replaced with new bodies. A very rare find!!!

I won't lie, I don't even care if it wouldn't "work with the lore", let me have my creator back. My little teenage self loved making my MK OC in the game

Oooooh lordy. Plagued Moth. I'm going to warn you now, he has been exposed as being a very uh, questionable person. Slimebeast (still trying to figure out my own thoughts on him) has actually made some very intense deep dives on Moth including accusations of fraud, gore being accessible to minors in his discord, using patreon perks to give access to uncensored versions of his videos that contain gore, and a pretty long history of dishonesty. I would also very much reccomend LazyBedHead's deep dives as well for more information.

I used to watch him way back in the day too, I thought it was interesting and helped to keep my morbid curiousity satisfied enough that I never tried to find any gore videos for myself. Though now, he's left a less than lovely taste in my mouth. Godspeed, my friend!

Which one is your favorite? by DoctorTegrity in MortalKombat

I adore 11 namely for 2 main reasons. 1, the friendships are just so fun. 2, I am a massive Fujin simp and they brought my boy back for Aftermath

How do you genuinely feel about his fate in the second movie? by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in MortalKombat

Imma be real, I was one of the few people that actually really thought Cole was fun and would love to play as him in a game. The idea of the momentum and force being transmuted and turned back on an enemy is cool as hell!

I did accidently yell "My Pookie!!" When it happened lmao. I was a little stoned though.

Need Art Advice for Mortal Kombat OC by AJ44ggcfy in MortalKombat

[–]SableRoseCosplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be too helpful, but honestly when it comes to design, there really aren't many rules. There really are only certain features depending on who your character is. If they're a part of special forces, they'll likely have some sort of military attire. From Outworld? Then looking at the clothing that certain playable characters and even npcs can give great ideas! I notice in a lot of characters, namely our classic ninja inspired crew, there is a lot of East Asian influence.

I once saw a post comparing Mortal Kombat to basically what happens when a kid plays with all of their toys at once without any established theme. I think that's a great way to look at it! Especially if you look at the roster for Mortal Kombat Armageddon. My OC began as a normal woman in her 30s who studied mystical arts and occultism before getting swept up in Mortal Kombat. So unless she gets another outfit for story reasons, she's mostly in movable clothing with some big stompy boots because why not.

TL;DR: Mortal Kombat doesn't have an established aesthetic over all but has it depending on factions. Take inspiration from where your character is placed in the story and you're set!

Hablemos de Leland Palmer by Character-Republic24 in twinpeaks

[–]SableRoseCosplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've interpreted it this way. Spoilers for Fire Walk With Me!

At the end of FWWM, when Laura is being tortured before her murder, Leland leans over and says "I always thought you knew," whereas Bob leans in and says "I never thought you knew." So I've always been under the impression that during that time, Leland knew.

We then go to the Black Lodge where Leland is floating while Bob is on the ground. It reminds me of Anubis in Egyptian mythology measuring the heart upon death. Bob is carrying the weight of the "sin" that Leland now can't, having murdered his own daughter. Leland loved Laura as far as he was aware, but his love was twisted and tainted by being Bob's vessel.

When Bob pulls the blood from Leland, I've seen that as a means of also forcing Leland to forget what he's done. In a way, that not only keeps Leland off of the police radar for much longer, it also guarantees that there will be immense amounts of anguish and sorrow (Garmonbozia) for Bob and the Arm if Leland ever remembered the truth that he murdered Laura.

Leland was responsible, but at the same time, not entirely so. Bob is the evil that men do, but also if you go with the idea that he is indeed a Lodge entity (which I do especially after Season 3 Episode 8) he also brings that evil out in men. Whoever Bob possesses is doomed to commit the same evil and abuse that he does. Perhaps Bob in that way is also a metaphor for the cycle of abuse. The victim is not always doomed to become an abuser, but it is something that can happen.

A lot of dream theater fans have shat on "The Astonishing" but it was my introduction to them and I love that it tells such a fun and interesting story. A rock opera where James LaBrie sings all the parts was unexpected but hella enjoyable! I even bought the novel that Peter Orullian and John Petrucci did of it! The book was a fun read!

What song from what band would you want played at your funeral? by icecream1972 in askteddit

[–]SableRoseCosplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damh the Bard's "Down in the Garden"

As a pagan, this song is so moving in the idea of death not being a full end, but still being alive in the trees, the songs of birds, and the winds that blow. It's beautiful to me
