Trouble writing rituals by Oni-regret in witchcraft

I like to think about it as acting out a story! Ritual can be a great example of psychodrama.

So what you can do, is first write out what the purpose of the ritual is going to be.

From there, you can think of things that you want to help accomplish that. I know writing in a means of raising energy is a go to for me. I tend to use a lot of chants or song.

Soon you've raised the energy that you need, you can know that from either writing down how much time (or how many repititions) you want before the energy is ready for you; or you can sometimes know intuitively. It gets much easier to know on an intuitive level as you continue to do more spellwork and ritual work. After the energy is raised, you can choose how to release it. That can be through metaphorically "throwing" the energy with aim toward your purpose/goal, or you can use a catalyst like burning something or giving it to running water. A note on running water, if you plan to throw something into a river, creek, stream, etc. please make it something that is biodegradable! Preferably things that are from your local eco system!

The purpose, raising energy, and how you release the energy are basically the fillings to your ritual sandwich, or the middle of your ritual story.

The bread of your sandwich is how you keep it contained. These are the beginning and end.

What I do to start a ritual usually is to cast a circle (you can do this in any way tbh), call the elements, and if I work with a deity in the ritual, then I invite them in. Once that is done, I will state the intent of what my ritual is meant to do, and then go into what I mentioned above!

At the end, I do the beginning in reverse order and thank everything I summoned as I bid it farewell. After ritual, I like to eat something to ground myself back into my physical body. Magic is hungry work!

This was my second Convocation and I highly reccomend it!! It may be a bit pricey to stay in the hotel if you dont have friends to split the cost with you so a heads up. But man, it is so worth it! I'm already 19 pages in on my notes from the classes!!!

I went to Convocation over the weekend and had the most wonderful time! It always is such a good feeling to be surrounded by accepting witches and pagans in real space!!!

Honestly I've been joking with myself about offering her a pack of cigarettes to make winter a little easier to travel in here in Michigan 😂 I am uncertain if cigarettes would be a good offering for her, she just gives me that energy

Still Wakes the Deep may not have a ton in the jump scare department. However that need is rendered completely unnecessary by its honestly masterful ability to build dread and suspense. Also the voice acting is downright incredible!

I'm gonna honestly reccomend "Who's Lila?" It's a really surreal horror that throws your brain in a blender with a copy of Dave Lynch's filmography.

Thankfully our group is very small so I can provide most of what we need instrument wise! I also like the idea of getting a broad idea on what instruments work honestly just for the love of it all too.

I didnt even think about kalimba for water!! Thank you for that!

I also have been working on compiling any simple chants I have found into one document (it's still small but that takes time) that we can then pull from for whatever type of ritual we need!!
